Chapter 28The rain was coming down so hard that Tom found it difficult to see what was in front of him. He slowed even further and continued around the last bend in the road before approaching the parking lot of the Institute. It was early, and the sun had not yet started to appear over the horizon. This added to the poor visibility. After he parked, he sat in the car for a minute, hoping for a break in the weather.
