Despite his repeated assurances to her about his work, she knew any investigation could include some danger. She tried to console herself that Ben was highly experienced and he had exercised more caution since their relationship had become serious. Repeatedly, he had mentioned that he was no longer willing to take on dangerous work. He had confidence that the London gig would be a relatively easy matter, requiring more of his technical skill than footwork.
