Sage stared at her for a long moment then she laughed.
"Who cares about the boys? Why do you keep bringing them up in every conversation."
Vivienne frowned and Sage shrugged one shoulder. "You keep saying their names like they're the center of my universe."
She stepped closer. "They're not."
Vivienne's confidence slipped. "I didn't come back for them."
Sage's voice remained calm. "I came back because my father forced me into another prison. I came back because I want my degree. I came back because my brother is waiting for me and I'll do anything to meet him.."
She leaned in just enough for only Vivienne to hear. "And if every Cahallan boys packed his bags and disappeared tomorrow morning..."
