Heath’s chest puffing out and retracting violently with each breath, I turned to see Lathen standing in place with a similar reaction. Palpitations in my chest kicking, it was almost painful as their bodies tightened as if readying for a fight. Fighting the urge to raise my hand to rub my chest, Heath’s feet planted firmly on the floor as he attempted to stand. Only stopping as I reached out my uninjured hand gripping at his clothing to try hold him in place. My tone sharp as I flooded with concern, “Lathen can you give us a minute? …Please?” A large audible breath sucked in by Lathen, he turned stalking from the room.
