Chapter 39 – There is no Risk
Still standing in place, this situation left so many questions in my mind. Is this why he said, or more accurately why he implied he was still seeing her? Was because she was rocking up at his place in the middle of the night? Or on the other hand, what happened if I was not here right now? Would he usually let her in, have a night cap and a cuddle… or more? The voices outside the door were suddenly incredibly quiet and muffled. It was not just because Heath had closed the door again, but because Heath was audibly lowering his voice. What else could he possibly mean to hide from me now, it was a bit late for all that.
