CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT Lorimor and King Frederick had become almost joint heads of the Desert People’s military force. Lorimor managed to inspire with oratory, but King Frederick was the much more experienced and tactically-astute general. They surveyed the great Desert People army on two horses side-by-side. Roubar had been delegated to run the city in their absence. While part of him felt he was being side-tracked, he also really enjoyed the responsibility of running Abula. Although all but a small portion of the army left the city to ride to Scrinon, Roubar was confident there would be no issues while they were away. He had seen no signs of any desire by the local populace to restore the Prince of Abula; they just seemed to want to get back to a normal life, as far as he could tell
