CHAPTER FIFTEEN
As Kolan, Krolith and Trelio entered the castle they could hear trumpets sounding the alert.
“The castle is under attack,” said Kolan.
“Let’s see if there is anything in the Vault that Trelio can use against them,” said Krolith.
The trio rushed into the Vault, only to discover that it was virtually empty. Some soldiers were loading up a final box with items.
“What is happening?” asked Trelio.
“We have orders. We are abandoning the city while we can,” said the soldier.
“Retreating?” asked Krolith.
“There are ten thousand Dark Elven troops outside. Our troops have orders to protect the retreat,” said the soldier.
“Are they leaving by ship?” asked Trelio.
“Yes,” said the soldier.
