CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

CHAPTER FORTY-NINE As Roubar’s ship arrived in Yalon, he could see that the whole island was in chaos. No one was organising where ships were to land and his vessel had to sail around for quite a while to actually find somewhere to disembark. There were lots of former slaves just milling around. They looked drunk to Roubar, and he didn’t feel particularly safe as he walked up to the old High Priest’s palace. Entering the palace, no one asked him who he was and he discovered King Frederick and Lorimor bickering between themselves. “We should land in Frinte first,” shouted Lorimor. “Asperia must be first!” King Frederick shouted back. “You just want to free your own country first!” said Lorimor. “You are Asperian as well!” said King Frederick. “But Frinte is nearer!” said Lorimor.
