Chapter 2

(Derek turned 6) "Jaxon!!!!" Mia yelled as soon as she entered the pack office. "For Goddess Sake! I'm working Mia" he said in an irritated tone and went back to reading some documents. Ever since he was made the King of Alphas, he has been piled up with work. And the decision of who will be the next Alpha of each pack around the world, is also in Jaxon's hands so he pretty much has to work all the time. Yet, he gives time to Derek whenever needed. "I received a call from Derek's school. I guess it's a bad idea for us to send him to only werewolf school" Mia whispered. And this caught Jaxon's attention. "What happened?" He asked Mia, looking at her. "Come to the school with me. Derek's teacher asked both of us to come and she needed to talk about Derek. We are the Alpha King and Luna. This will have influence if Derek is in only werewolf school" Mia whispered, not sure how Jaxon would take it. He is so serious and precise in everything he does for Derek. One can easily say Derek got Jaxon wrapped around his little finger. "Let's go now." He said while taking his car keys on his table. The drive to the school wasn't that far but it was filled with silence. Mia always stood two steps behind in the matter of Derek. Jaxon would think what to give Derek now and he also planned what to give Derek 10 years later. Nowadays everything he thinks about is Derek. He hopped out the moment he parked his car in his spot. All the werewolf schools have a spot saved for the Alpha King just in case he visits. Not only schools but Jaxon and Mia have access to all the packs around the world. They walked straight to the Principal's office and he directed them to meet Derek's homeroom teacher. As they both were walking in the corridors everyone moved aside paving way for Alpha King and Queen to move forward. All the students and teachers bowed, stopping whatever they were doing Midway. It didn't take long for them to meet Derek's homeroom teacher. She was already waiting in her office with Derek sitting in one of the chairs. Derek being the son of Alpha King and Queen, he is used to this special treatment. After all the restrictions for 4 years Derek was finally allowed to go out and make friends but all the special treatment only made him arrogant. Jaxon didn't pay much attention to his behavior because the time they both spent was always talking to each other and playing video games. "Good afternoon King and Queen" The teacher bowed with a smile on her face. "I am sorry if I made you cancel your busy schedules" her voice was soft but filled with respect. Meanwhile Derek ran to his father and hugged his legs. "No, that's ok. Is Derek bothering you?" Mia asked while having a seat beside Jaxon who had Derek on his lap. "I pardon King and Queen, but Derek's behavior is a bad influence on all the kids around him. He continuously uses the word f**k when his teachers clearly warned him that isn't good" She sighed looking at Mia. Mia looked at Jaxon or more like glared at Jaxon. If looks could kill then Jaxon would already be 6 feet under. She knew whose influence was that. Derek is slowly picking on Jaxon's habits. She always wanted Derek to grow up like Jaxon but now she is not sure if that's gonna do any good. "I am sorry on his behalf. I'll make sure he won't do it again" Mia gave an apologetic smile. "But Momma that's just - " he was cut off by Mia's glare. The dad son duo might be the noisiest and can tease Mia, but one glare from her is enough for both of them to shut their mouths and sit on their tails. "Don't apologise Luna. It's common for children to pick on the behaviors around them. But just make sure to avoid every bad influence on him. And he is getting into fights too" Teacher said. "Fights?" Jaxon asked while Derek's teacher nodded. "Did you give him a black eye?" Jaxon's question was directed to Derek. "Yes daddy" Derek said in an excited tone. "That's my champ!" The father and son gave each other a high-five. "Jaxon!" Mia's voice held anger. "What? He is the next King and he has to learn how to fight already. And regarding him picking on influences around him, we will take care of it. Thank you so much for letting us know about this" he said, looking between Mia and Derek's teacher. He took Derek and left the office while Mia apologized once again before following them. Mia couldn't understand why Jaxon isn't getting the point. The heir of Alpha King should be loved but not feared. He should win hearts with love, not by beating the s**t out of them. By the time she reached the parking lot Jaxon and Derek were already in the car and debating on which ice cream place was the best. And as usual Derek won and demanded Jaxon to take him to that ice cream place. Mia was so fed up with both of them. When they were finally out of school that's when Mia exploded. "Is that what your mom and dad taught you Derek?" Mia asked Derek who became silent. "Oh! So you don't have the answer? Very well." She turned to Jaxon. "And you! I told you to stop swearing around Derek and look where it has got him." She was throwing daggers through her eyes and Jaxon could feel a hole burning through his skull. "He is just a Kid, Mia. We can't expect him to be perfect" Jaxon tried to reason with his eyes on the road. "But he at least needs to be good. Perfect and Good and entirely different terms Jaxon!!!" She exclaimed, hoping Jaxon could understand. "Listen my beautiful Queen! He is just 6. It's his common nature to grasp everything that's happening around him. Kevin and Kian aren't an exception too. And for the fights, Derek told me that he hit bullies because they were teasing a girl. He has Alpha Blood, it's his nature to fight when something is wrong" he glanced at Mia for a second. "But we can just talk to him in a calm demeanor and let him understand. Just leave him alone for today." His last sentence sounded more like killing the whole conversation. That was when Mia understood that no matter how good Mia and Jaxon raise Derek, he will end up becoming an asshole like his father. Mia hoped Derek would pick up the Alpha habits from his father but Derek turned out to be a Carbon Copy of Jaxon. That's when Mia worried for the first time after Derek was born. She didn't know if it was the nature of a mother or a Lunar Wolf sense, but after today's encounter the thought of Derek growing up like Jaxon didn't sit well with Mia.
