꧁THE BEGINING꧂
✿NARRATOR'S P⋆O⋆V✿
Waves rolled onto the ocean surface, slowly, until the water made contact with her toes. She shivered from the cold temperature of the water as it touched her chocolate skin. Never taking her eyes off of the calm blue skies above her head.
She had always marvelled at the beauty of their land. Even before she was first brought to the ocean, she had loved the black soil as it consumed her feet, staining her precious clean skin.
Querencia was admired for it's rich black soil, the pride of her people. Every object was made of either black, gold, white silver or silver. The only other coloured objects of their land was their forest-green trees.
"Kimani" her sister called from behind her. She turned slowly, already dreading her scolding tone.
"I know Nakata, I will be home soon" she said to her sister. It was almost funny how the two had always had opposing views yet they were the best of friends. They were tied by an unbreakable bond, the one that no others person would be able to break.
"He is waiting for you" her sister informed as she took a place next to her.
"I know, he told me" she said, big grin decorating her face.
Her Isaak
Her love.
He had been the only male that had managed to win her affection. A male so fearless and strong. He would protect her offsprings and help her provide for them.
"What are you thinking about?" Nakata asked her while gazing into the moving waves of the ocean.
Kimani shook her head, embarrassed by her own thoughts. In what world would her crazy ideas be considered normal?
"Tell me" her sister insisted, nudging her shoulder lightly.
She let out a sigh, then turned away from her sister, unable to face her.
"What if there was a world beyond this?" She started, motioning to the ocean with her finger.
"What do you mean?" Nakata asked, trying to understand how her sister's mind worked.
"I mean," she paused, trying to figure out how to say what she meant without seeming insane, "what if we are not the only people alive. Maybe there are others out there" she asked, cringing at her own words.
"That can not be possible" Nakata told her, giving her a sweet comforting smile.
She stayed silent, her hope deflated. The question had hunted her for years.
Was she stupid for even thinking anything of this sort?
"You are right" she said as she stood, brushing some of the soil away from her dirtied body.
"Shall we leave?" Nakata asked.
"Yes. I am sure zari is furious with me"

He could not possibly do it could he? Who in their right mind would think of crossing the ocean? It was unheard of.
"You can not possibly be serious Karlus" Liana said to him as she paced around the room. She had obviously had enough of his stupidity for one day.
"Come with me" he offered as he held her smaller gentle hand in his.
She laughed lightly, astonished by his way of thinking, "why would I do that? Karlus listen to me. You are Killian's only son. You will only waste your life on a stupid belief" she tried to reason with him.
The amount of times he had heard those words where countless.
"Alright then. I guess we have nothing more to discuss" he told her, placing a small kiss on her forehead before walking out of her room, leaving everything He loved behind.
He could hear her continuous shouts, trying to get him to listen to reason. He would have to move fast before his brothers came to stop him.
Nothing in the world would stop him now. He had his mind set on succeeding, even if success came at a price.
