42 Adi closed her eyes and focused inward. She pushed all her thoughts away until her entire being was subsumed by the darkness behind her eyelids. After a couple of inhales and exhales, she mentally explored her surroundings. Honi’s hand covered hers—warm, a little rough and calloused, making her feel safe and cherished.
