Denied and Disowned

The words hung in the air like a storm waiting to break. “I’m carrying your child.” Bella’s voice was steady, but her heart pounded so loudly she could barely hear anything else. Alexander stared at her. For the first time since she had met him, his calm expression cracked. “What did you just say?” he asked slowly, his voice dangerously low. Bella didn’t look away. “I’m pregnant,” she repeated. “And the child is yours.” Silence filled the room. The air felt heavy. Then— Alexander laughed. Cold. Sharp. Disbelieving. Bella felt her chest tighten. “You expect me to believe that?” he said, standing up slowly. “After what you did yesterday?” Her fingers clenched tightly. “I didn’t do anything,” she said firmly. “Those pictures were fake. I was set up.” “Enough!” he snapped, his voice echoing through the room. He walked toward her, his presence overwhelming. “You think I’m a fool?” he said. “You get exposed cheating, and now suddenly you’re pregnant with my child?” Bella’s eyes burned with unshed tears. “I’m telling you the truth.” Alexander’s gaze dropped to the paper in her hand. “What’s that?” he asked coldly. Bella stepped forward and handed it to him. “My test results.” He took it and glanced at it briefly. Then his expression hardened again. “A piece of paper proves nothing.” Bella felt something inside her break. “What more do you want?” she asked, her voice trembling despite her effort to stay strong. Alexander tossed the report onto the table. “I want the truth,” he said coldly. “Not another lie.” Bella shook her head. “I’m not lying!” But no matter what she said… He wouldn’t believe her. ⸻ A Cruel Decision Alexander turned away from her as if the conversation was already over. “I’ll have my lawyer prepare the documents,” he said calmly. Bella froze. “What documents?” “Divorce papers,” he replied without hesitation. Her heart dropped. “Alexander…” “I won’t let you use a child to tie yourself to me,” he continued coldly. “If that child is even mine.” The words hit harder than anything else. Bella felt like she couldn’t breathe. “You think I would lie about something like this?” she asked, her voice breaking. Alexander didn’t answer. And that silence was louder than any insult. ⸻ The Final Blow Bella stood there, staring at him. The man she loved. The man she trusted. The man who now looked at her like she meant nothing. Slowly, she nodded. “I understand now,” she said quietly. Alexander frowned slightly. “What do you mean?” Bella wiped the tears from her face. For the first time since entering the house… Her expression changed. The pain was still there. But something else appeared too. Strength. “I understand that no matter what I say, you’ll never believe me,” she said. Alexander didn’t respond. Bella took a step back. “So there’s no reason for me to stay here.” Something in her tone made him look at her more carefully. But he still said nothing. Bella placed the pregnancy report back into her bag. “Don’t worry,” she added softly. “I won’t bother you again.” Alexander’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Good.” That single word sealed everything. Bella gave a small nod. Then she turned around. And walked away. ⸻ A Promise As Bella stepped out of the mansion, the bright sunlight hit her face. But it didn’t warm her. Nothing could. She stopped for a moment, her hand slowly resting on her stomach. Her eyes filled with tears again. But this time… She didn’t let them fall. “I won’t beg anymore,” she whispered. Her voice was soft, but firm. “I won’t chase someone who doesn’t want me.” A deep breath left her lips. From this moment on— She was on her own. And she would survive. Not just for herself. But for the life growing inside her. ⸻ Meanwhile… Inside the mansion, Alexander stood by the window, watching Bella leave. His expression remained cold. Unmoved. But for some reason… His gaze lingered longer than it should have. And deep inside— A small, unfamiliar feeling stirred. Something he didn’t understand. Something he chose to ignore.
