"He left?" Sara murmured as she opened the envelope.
Inside, written neatly in bold letters, were just a few words. Take care of yourself.
Beside her, Frank paused while packing their belongings. Hearing that Lucas had left, his lips curled into a faint smile.
"Good. Sara, I've already completed the discharge paperwork. We can head home now," he said, closing the suitcase.
Still thinking about Lucas, Sara instinctively reached for her phone to call him, but Frank quickly snatched it away.
"He's probably still on the plane right now. Grandpa's been worried about you these past few days. Let's head back and let him know you're okay first, alright?"
Frank had a point. Charles had called her several times recently to check on her condition. She nodded. "Okay."
