The next morning, when I woke up, I was having breakfast in the kitchen when Nathan approached me. “Want to go fishing?” he asked casually, tucking his hands into his pockets. “I’m going out in the ocean today. It’s peaceful, and let’s take a break from the horseback riding lesson.” I hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Sure, I’ve never gone fishing before, but I’d like to try.” We packed a few supplies—rods, some snacks—and headed out.
