8 Henry Davidson watched Monsieur Firmin and the automaton unload all the art that the Marquis—yes, Henry indulged in a moment of pride when his guess had been confirmed—had just gone through. Whatever they all sought, it wasn't in there. Firmin re-packed the crate carefully, demonstrating his knowledge of how to store works of art. Too bad the man had the personality of a crook.
