Him

The next morning, I woke up with a massive hangover. I dragged myself out of bed and went into the bathroom to wash up. After I showered, I went to the kitchen and made some coffee while I started on making breakfast. My phone rang and its Riley calling me. "Hey,” I answered. "Too...many tequila shots,” her voice dragged. I laughed, despite the fact that I was hung over as well, but Riley could never handle her liquor. I stirred the eggs in the pan making sure that they don't burn. "Ugh. I know. Then Robert had his nerve." "Yes, please tell me what happened,” she chimed in. "We were dancing and all of sudden I felt his nasty hands on me. He wouldn't let me go after I told him and then this guy came and demanded Robert to let me go. Ri, when he touched me I felt this spark. It was something I've never felt before." "Well considering you haven't had any in a long time, I'm surprised you didn't jump his bones." Oh how I wanted to so bad. I placed my breakfast on my plate and sat in the living room. "Riley!" I yelled stunned at her outburst. "What? I bet your v****a thinks you passed away." "Really?!" I said open-mouthed. She always been blunt, its one of things I love about her but sometimes it can be a little too much. "Let him give you a little mouth to mouth,” she teased. “All I'm saying is that you should talk to him. Who knows where this may go." “I can't.” She huffed, “Why not?” "Because I don't know his name. I never got the chance to ask." God I wanted to know so bad. This mystery man has been on my mind since last night’s encounter. "Jeez, Ari. Were you that stuck?" Stuck was an understatement. I was captured, imprisoned by his God-like body, sexy lips and those eyes! Unfortunately, he was a man that I knew I wasn't going to see again. "No." She knows better than anyone that I'm lying. "Yeah, okay. Anyway, what are you doing today?" I shrugged, “Nothing really. It's Sunday so I'm just going to relax today. We have to meet our new CEO in the morning." I was so not ready for this. I didn't want to hear how this CEO was going to change the numbers and all of that blah blah blah. "Oh yes, I forgot about that. I wanted to see if you wanted to go have a spa day." "As lovely as that would sound, I have to show up for this stupid meeting tomorrow,” I sadly declined. "Okay, well I love you and call me later." "Love you too, Ri." After I hung up the phone, I sat it on the table and ate my food. Later on that night, I took a shower and slipped on some small shorts and a camisole. I looked at my phone and noticed a missed call from my dad. Calling him back, he answered on the second ring. "Hello, Arielle,” he answered. "Hi dad, you called?" "Yes, I just wanted to make sure you are ready for tomorrow." "Do I have to go?" I whined. "Absolutely. You are my daughter and it will look bad for our name if you're not there,” he scolded. I laid back on the bed, “Okay. Fine, I'll be there then.” "8am, Arielle." He only called me by my real name when he was serious or if he knew I wanted something. "See you at 8am, love you,” I smiled. He chuckled, “Love you too, baby girl." There it was. I climbed into bed and my thoughts went to the mystery man that consumed my mind. As I closed my eyes to sleep, I heard the sound of his voice. “Are you okay?” “Yes,” I answered. “Thank you for helping me.” I reached out to feel him to see if he's really as muscular as he looked. My hand was close, closer, and...... Riiinnnnggggg. My alarm went off startling me out of my sleep. I groaned as I looked at the time. 6:30am.. Slowly and reluctantly, I climbed out of the bed to wash my face in the bathroom. Making my way to the walk in closet, I found a simple red laced top with a black knee length skirt. I put on laced stocking and my black heels and a matching blazer. Dad always wanted us to dress professional for the meetings, like we're corporate. I mean, its good for practice I guess. I took a look in the mirror one more time and I walked out of the door. I stopped by my favorite coffee place and ordered a caramel latte. By the time I made it to my job, it was 7:30am. I sat in the car sipping my coffee for another fifteen minutes before my dad knocked on my window. "We're heading in now.” “I thought the meeting was at 8,” I countered. “It is, we just need to do a head count." A head count? Since when? "Okay." It was no need to fight him on it. I got out and locked my doors, walking as fast as my heels would allow me. We all headed down to the conference room and waited as my dad did the head count. Shortly after, two men walked in and began speaking about the changes of company. Gosh, this was so boring. We've been here a half hour already. “Now to introduce to you, your new CEO Zane Calloway!” There was a rupture of loud clapping as this man dressed in a navy blue Armani suit walked in. Nothing could've prepared me for this. My heart dropped when our eyes locked on one another. It's...its...HIM. Now this meeting just got interesting. "Thank you, everyone,” he smiled as he stood tall. "As the new CEO of Knight INC, I wanted to personally make some changes. First, you all will have medical benefits, dental, and vision. We will match your contribution to your retirement fund by twenty percent. Also, maternity leave will be 20 weeks instead of the average 12. Last but not least as of today, you all will receive an adjustment of on your pay rate. I hope this will motivate you to stay with our company. I look forward to meeting with you all personally, Thank you." For the first time since I've been working here, I was actually interested in the meeting. More like hearing his sultry, deep voice. I sat in my chair a little longer knowing that if I were to stand, I will lose my balance. After a few minutes, I finally stood and walked towards my desk. I looked over cases that I had this week. Quickly, I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Riley. Me: I found him. Riley: Who? Mystery Man? Me: Yeeesss. His name is Zane Calloway. Riley: Are you f*****g serious? Zane Calloway? Me: Am I missing something? Riley:Look him up. Me: No, Ri.. Riley: Just do it, Ari. Meet me for lunch afterwards. Me: Okay, see you then. I pulled up the google search and type his name in. Zane Calloway, also known as Mr. Billionaire, 31 years old. Never married, no children. Calloway was Billionaire of the Year 2019. With a Masters in Business, Calloway is known for taking failing companies and turning them into multimillion dollar corporations. Wow...So that's why he's here. I exit out of the article and checked my emails. After responding to messages sent by the bail bondsman, I took an early lunch. Riley and I met at Lucky's Cafe. "I still can't believe Zane Calloway, your mystery man, is your new boss,” she playfully poured. "Yeah, I’ve never heard of him until now,” I informed her. "You looked him up right?" "Yeah, and from what I read, he sound like the typical billionaire." Who am I kidding? Myself? This man has already affected me. Even in my dreams. Riley shrugged, “Maybe... maybe not. You just have to find out for yourself." "I don't think so,” I frowned. Riley shook her head. “And why not?" "Because I seen the women he had on his arm. I look nothing like them,” I referred to the weight gain I mentioned before. "Ari, you're no where near fat. You just have curves which most men find alluring and you're beautiful." Riley reminded me. “And even if you were, you would be PHAT. Pretty Hot And Tempting.” I couldn’t help but laugh, “Thank you, Ri." She was always reassuring me. I checked the time and I'm ten minutes over my lunch. "Oh s**t. Riley I have to go." I kissed her cheek and ran back to my car. By the time, I made it back, I was twenty minutes late. Dammit.. When I made it to my desk, I saw a note. Picking up the piece of paper, it read: IN MY OFFICE, NOW! Oh boy, here we go...
