Chapter 41 Frank, Rhodes and the García brothers’ mother and father were sitting at a table, littered with coffee mugs, ashtrays and a bottle of Aguardiente, on the veranda of their house looking out across acres of farmland. Two chestnut horses grazed nearby. An idyllic scene in direct contrast with what Frank and Rhodes had been through hours before. The mother broke out into sporadic tears as the father fought his grief with continuous coffee, booze and cigarettes, his face fixed with shell shock.
