Chapter 27 The following day the young soldier, Comrade Miguel Isaza, with tattoos covering most of his neck and face, expertly guided the Piragua canoe, fitted with a small outboard engine, downstream. On either side of them, the jungle closed in like monstrous green walls, with trees arching over their route visibly shaking as Howler monkeys screeched in their direction.
