Once again, all I could see was darkness. I couldn't even move my body while my vision lost to this eternity of dimness. What's happening to me? Am I dead? But I could still feel the pain throughout my body. My head was pounding hardly then I heard voices. At first, it was almost inaudible but my hearing became clear. "Why isn't she waking up?" I think it was Tiffany. "s**t Tiffany! You almost killed her and you expect her to wake up that quick? Gosh, are you crazy? Why did you do that if you know that she has a high fever? Are you really trying to kill her?" I'm sure it was Jessica. She was mad based on her tone. "No of course not!" Tiffany's voice was trembling, obviously guilty. "I was mad at her because she wanted to leave my place. She called the police and reported me," she stated. But I swear, I didn't do that! I didn't call the cops! I want to stay with her, I would never do that. "Gosh Tiffany! You blamed her?" "Who else will do that? Even if she told me she didn't call them, I just ignored her. I was really furious that she wanted to leave me, she owes me a lot!" I could hear Jessica sighed "She didn't do that, I called the cops." "What??" Tiffany shrieked. "Why the fvck did you do that?" She growled. "Because I thought you punished her again! Tiffany, she's sick because it's the side effect of lack of food. She doesn't eat much right? Or are you starving her? Her body started to break down other vital tissues, that almost lead to serious health complications or potentially death. She's also dehydrated. Her health is breaking down, what the fvck are you doing to her?" Jessica growled back as she explained my condition. "I... I didn't know that," Tiffany muttered. "I'm just... I couldn't control my emotion. I was furious because I thought she wanted to leave me." "Stop this Tiffany please, don't force me to take this in legal action and sue you," Jessica firmly said. I didn't hear them anymore, I didn't know what happened but I guess someone left as I heard clicking sound of heels and door creaked. I felt warm hands held mine "I promise Erika, I will not hurt you again like this. Please wake up and stay with me. I... I... I'm s-sorry," Tiffany cooed. "Please wake up Erika..." I don't want to fall on this again, I want to believe that she still care for me even as a friend but what she did was really hard to forget. I don't want to fall on this trap and hurt myself again, I'm not a masochist. This time I tried my best to open my eyes slowly and I saw Tiffany as her head down next to my arm. I couldn't tell if she's crying but that's impossible to happen. She wants this, she wants me to suffer. Right, she almost killed me and didn't consider my condition. She doesn't care for me, she hates me so it's impossible that she was crying because of what happened. She did this because she wants this to happen. Tiffany did a double take at me, her eyes were reddened but I couldn't tell if there were tears. My vision wasn't clear yet and I wanted to bang my head on the wall, it's still pounding like forever. "You're awake," Tiffany let go of my hand and stood up. She rushed out of the room. I toured my eyes around and I think I'm in a clinic, all things were almost white even my clothes. I looked down at myself and saw my arms with bruises and bandages. There also a slim long tube attached at the back of my hand and it was connected to a hanging clear bag at the pole next to my bed. I guess it's just water which the bag contained. I'm like a typical patient in a hospital room. Then Tiffany came back with Jessica, the latter examined me and everything that I didn't know. After that she spoke "You're not that dehydrated anymore. That's good, how's your feeling?" "My... my head hurts..." I managed to say. Jessica nodded "You need to eat. Oh. I have porridge in my office, I'll just get it," Jessica walked out of the room leaving me and Tiffany again. She just stared at me innocently "Are... are you okay?" I barely nodded. Tiffany sat on the side of the bed "I guess I was a little bit too much." I weakly smiled and kept my mouth shut. I stared back at her with my stoic expression, I don't want her to see me through so I put my guard up. "Erika..." s**t. My wall easily destroyed just because she called me by my name. Damn it. "I promise, this won't happen again. I will not hurt you anymore," Tiffany gave her words to me. Should I listen to her? Should I trust her words? Was she deceiving me and just playing with my feelings? Anyway, I've never expected that she will promise me this. It was like she really regretted it and discreetly apologized to me. False hope? Nah. Not again. Not this time. "Say something," she requested. "Okay," I flatly said. Tiffany frowned a bit. I ate all my pride then added "It's okay... Master." Tiffany cleared her throat awkwardly, it was like she forgot that thing "Good, you should revere me and answer properly. You're my slave Erika." I remained expressionless. I'm kinda numb and I'm used to it when she talks like that. It was nothing new to me. Then Jessica came back holding a mug with spoon, I could see that it was hot "Okay, here's the new heated porridge. I'm glad that I cooked some this morning. It's perfect for your appetite Erika." Tiffany took the mug from Jessica "I'll feed her." Jessica raised her right brow "O... okay?" She moved closer to my bed and helped me to sit up. "Thank you," I genuinely said. "No problem," Jessica smiled at me and winked. Then Tiffany kinda shoved her away from bed and leaned closer to me "It's time for you to eat Erika," she glanced at Jessica and glared. Jessica seemed to be oblivious about it. Tiffany blows the porridge before putting it in my mouth like before. I moaned when I first tasted the porridge, it was delicious "It's really good." "Really?" Jessica squealed. "Thank you Erika!" Tiffany rolled her eyes "Not really," she opposed earning a cold glare from Jessica. "I'm glad you didn't burn down your kitchen Jessi," she smirked with her remark. "Oh shut up, let me get the mug. You're not feeding Erika," Jessica was about to get the mug but Tiffany moved it away. "I will do it," Tiffany firmly said. Jessica pouted "Focus. She needs to be fed." "Then you shut up," Tiffany countered. Burn! "Touché," Jessica zipped her mouth as Tiffany continued to feed me. They are really cute as best friends. Tiffany's aura is different and light when Jessica is with us. Maybe it's her real attitude. Cute. I remember when we were still best friends before, it was kinda different from this. We were close but we barely argue. She was so sweet with me and she cares a lot. I even thought we had the same feelings to each other but I was wrong. She loves Nick. While Tiffany was feeding me, she asked Jessica "So... when can I take her home?" Jessica folded her arms over her chest and changed her facial expression to serious one "She can stay here till tomorrow but she's not coming with you. I won't let you hurt her again." "I'm sorry Jessi but Erika is coming with me, I will take her tomorrow," Tiffany flatly said. "I told you that if this happen-" Tiffany interrupted her best friend "I will not hurt her, I promise." Jessica seemed to calm down "Promise?" "Yes," Tiffany assured her. "Do you still want to come with her Erika?" Jessica asked and they looked at me all ears. Tiffany eyes softened in split second but she immediately hid it. "I'm sorry but..." I swallowed silently They were waiting impatiently to my answer. Just one word. "Yes," I answered. I didn't know why I said yes after all happened. Maybe I'm really stupid to stay with Tiffany as her slave. Tiffany smiled a bit, wait... what? She smiled? Gosh, her smile is really amazing. Was she happy that I chose to stay with her? "Okay but in one condition," Jessica declared. "And what is it?" Tiffany asked curiously. "I'll give her a cellphone so I can check her and she can call me whenever she wants," Jessica proposed. Tiffany's brows snapped together "What?? No way!" "Yes or I will not allow her to come with you? It's just a cellphone Tiffany and Erika wants to stay with you. What's the big deal? She will never call cops if that's what you worry," Jessica stated without a doubt. I nodded. I will not let Tiffany get in trouble. "F-fine!" Tiffany reluctantly said. "But phone calls are just limited." Jessica giggled "You never change Tiffany... never." I wonder what Jessica was implying with it. Tiffany never change. There's hidden meaning with it. But only her and Tiffany knows about it. ×××××
