I heard her heart rate increase on the monitor, making me frown. Was it because she was scared of me?
I pulled away, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. I just felt overwhelmed when I realized that she was awake. I promised myself that I would be patient, but it was so hard. I love her so much and hate knowing that I can’t touch her.
“I’m sorry, Cata.” I mumbled, closing my eyes. “I couldn’t control myself.”
