“Can you tell me, Father, if you really thought a demon was present?” Mickey asked, attempting to dredge up remnants of his once dogged determination as a reporter. “Did the victim’s facial features physically transform?”
The priest shook his head in dismay.
“You probably think exorcisms are filled with scary humans who have rotted teeth and fiery eyes; you’ve been watching too many horror movies, my son,” the priest mildly scolded. “Instances of demonic entities taking over bodies is not something that the Catholic Church really concerns itself with in the modern world.”
Kollocky issued a firm declaration: “As I said, you must have misheard. There’s really nothing of substance I could give you.”
