With COVID-19 pandemic raging, presidential election, economic hardships the nation is facing and many other major challenges, one things that has helped me keep my sanity is being able to do what I love: Reading mysteries.
I haven't been able to read many crime novels recently . Instead, I've come across many great short stories, some of which are included in this issue. Mystery Tribune #14 is one of those all-star issues and I really can't pick a favorite piece as they're all great.
Edgar Award-winning author Lori Roy has written this issue's cover story for us. Brendan DuBois, one of my favorite authors, has another masterfully-crafted short story in this issue and Reed Farrel Coleman is back with the second installment of his dystopian trilogy, a nail-biting and fast-moving piece.
In the art and photography section, Russian artist Vyacheslav Ivanov presents some of his edgy and mystical portraits and Dana Robbins's essay explains how she grew up voraciously reading Nancy Drew novels and how memories of the books helped her to cope with challenges during her own adulthood.
Fans of crime comics and mystery TV shows will be delighted with in-depth reviews by Tobias Carroll and Scott Adlerberg. As always, we've included a little bit of everything for every taste and I hope you enjoy reading through them all as much as we've had fun putting them together.
