I’ve seen madness before. I heard shouts, glasses breaking, things hitting each other, people crying. I’ve seen my parents throw hurtful words at each other. I’ve seen my father blame my mother countless times, and her, begging for him to stay, to make things work between them, just for my sake.
That’s madness.
But I’ve never seen myself succumb to that madness before. I had my fair share of crying until my voice was hoarse, but I’ve never ever once used madness to let out my anger of how unfortunate my life was, and I guess that was one of the differences William and I have.
