“Rosalie? What a lovely name.” William’s father didn’t even smile despite his compliment that I couldn’t even find it in me to thank him or if I should even thank him in the first place. Gosh, I really wish the guys are here.
Unfortunately, William’s father, King Philip wanted them to stay in their respective rooms while he was ‘talking’ to us.
When none of us spoke anymore, King Philip looked at William, all the humor in his voice disappearing.
“It’s been a long time. How many years is it? Three years? Four? Five? Ah, I lost count.” I gulped. “My son, my only heir, the only person next in line to the throne left me to deal with everything in this Godforsaken kingdom. How cruel.”
