Chapter Twelve The time spent at the waterfall site was an uneventful one, despite having the constant fear that I would be bitten by something in the water. Mum simply found the most secured part of site, and we both did our thing quietly. I think she was still fuming over the fact that I let her carry the bag all the way to site, but for all I know she probably wanted to have her bathe in silence. Then there was the other part of the fear that consisted of me wondering if the water was even hygienic enough for bathing. At which point Mum cleared by doubts by explaining that it wouldn’t be my first time using the water for bathing. To my utmost surprise, I handled that piece of information pretty well.
