Chapter Nine
Waking up this time, all I feel is anxiety. For some reason I had a strong feeling that if I should open my eyes too quickly this time, I would find out that I have been gone for more years. Maybe this anxiety will become part of my waking experience, maybe it’s just for the next few days but either way, I honestly don’t think I would mind waking up and finding out that I was gone more days than I planned to.
If it means it would eliminate the horrible reality that I will face now when I open my eyes right this moment, then I am all for it. The only problem now is the tiny case of what it would mean for Mum. In that case I really hope everything turns out in her favour.
