SLOANE I woke up, gasping and choking for breath and found my hands and ankles bound too tightly. Unable to move my hands to reach my face and take stock of my injuries I peeled my dry eyes open to take in my surroundings. I had no idea where I was, nothing seemed familiar at all about this place, the smell of death heavy in the air. Drawing in a deep breath I forced myself to focus on what I saw and heard while evening out my breathing.
