The First Lesson

on the training ground. A man walked in with a black beard and long hair, looking to be around 40 years of age. "Good morning, Vajra cadets. I am Professor Drona, and I will be responsible for your weapon mastery and Prana circulation. For the next month, students are required to attend all classes related to every weapon as well as basic magic. Once this foundational training period is over, your specialized classes will begin." "I am specialized in the bow and arrow, but I will teach you various weapons for a month until you decide which path you wish to choose. Once you choose your path, you will be assigned new professors aligned with your chosen discipline." "So, what do you all know about Prana? Is there anyone who would like to answer?" "Professor," Karn said, raising his hand. "Speak, Karn." "Prana is the life force present in every living form in the universe." "Correct." "And what is a Chakra?" Nakul answered this question. "Chakras are dantians that store Prana energy. Chakras also help in circulating Prana throughout the body." (Chakras = Dantians) Professor Drona asked again, "How many maximum Chakras can exist in the human body?" Arjun answered this question. "There can be a maximum of seven Chakras formed in our body, and their names are: Root Chakra — located at the base of the spine. Sacral Chakra Solar Chakra Heart Chakra — located at the lower chest. Throat Chakra Third Eye Chakra Crown Chakra — located at the very top of our head, in the center. The remaining Chakras run in a straight line from the top of our head down to the base of our spine, starting from the Crown Chakra down to the Root Chakra." Professor Drona looked at Arjun and nodded. "So, my next question is: Have you ever wondered why some people possess immense amounts of Prana energy while others have very little by comparison? Have you asked yourselves why this happens, given that the average human lifespan is roughly the same for everyone? Do not include races like Elves, Vampires, or Dwarves, as they possess naturally long lifespans." Everyone fell silent. No one had an answer to this. "There are two factors that determine why Prana reserves vary among people: The first factor is the cultivation method. The way you draw environmental Prana into your body and absorb it through your breath plays a significant role in both Prana recovery after exhaustion and overall Prana capacity. The second factor is the size of your Chakras. The larger the size of a Chakra, the more Prana you can store within it, and the faster you can regulate Prana energy throughout your body. Chakra size can be expanded through proper cultivation methods, practice, and hard effort. However, a select few are born with naturally vast Chakra sizes from birth—giving them an immense stack of Prana reserves right from the start of their lives. Now, I will test your Chakra sizes and the amount of Prana you can store in your current condition." So, who would like to showcase their prana reserves?" Everyone exchanged uncertain glances with one another. Professor Drona spoke once more, his voice echoing powerfully across the training field. "Most of you carry royal blood in your veins—descendants of great ancestors who lived with honor and died in glory. So why have you all fallen silent so suddenly?" He looked over the quiet crowd, his gaze firm and inspiring. "There is no shame if your Chakra is currently small. A vessel's size is not an absolute destiny; it can be expanded through relentless effort and unwavering discipline. Every single one of you standing here has already unlocked the First Chakra—the Root Chakra. That achievement alone is the reason you were permitted to sit for the written examination. Am I right?" "YES, SIR!" everyone echoed in unison, their voices filled with newfound pride. "In this vast world, only one percent of humanity ever succeeds in unlocking the Root Chakra. All others remain commoners, bound to the ordinary world. So where is the room for shame when every last one of you already stands among the top one percent?" The examinees stared at Professor Drona, their spirits rekindled by his words. Then, a boy raised his hand. "Umm... Sir, actually, we don't know how to... umm... how to show our Prana reserves." There was silence for a few seconds. Then—"Pfft, haha! So that's the matter!" Drona chuckled. "Okay, so we will learn how to measure Chakra size and evaluate Chakra reserves tomorrow," Drona said. "Today, I will determine everyone's way of thinking and see what kind of people you all are." Drona pointed toward a mango tree 200 meters away, where a wooden sparrow with a pearl eye was placed. "Look at that bird." "I want to find out your way of thinking, your basic archery skills, and your mindset," Drona continued. "So what you have to do is answer my questions. Understood?"
