CHAPTER TEN
She instantly heard him falling screaming. She ran to the rail and looked down the minute he sunk into the water. A scream tore the beautiful skies. Evelina lay on the bridge sobbing profusely.
She remembered Alex saying to love you mean to love you more to let you go. She lay on the bridge for two days crying before she left.
A group of kids ran over the flower fields toward the bridge each hoping for the first spot. On arrival, they would take off shirts and shoes, and instantly somersaulted over the rails and down into the water and swam down through the tunnel under their sides of the bridge onto the flower fields either side before they came back for the next jump. A little boy hesitated holding his shoes in his hands.
“Do you want to jump with those?” Asked the other
