Andrew got up.
"The Paige as in Paige?"
"Do you know her?" Asked David.
"The dancing Paige?"
"Yes, I heard Marson cursing at her dancing tactic," replied Bogdan.
Andrew shook his head.
"She is bad news. Bad than Evelina!"
They all looked at him.
"In that case, I have to kill her. When did she take this assignment?" Asked Andrew.
"Just today," he replied.
"I will go and deal with her," said Carolina.
Andrew shook his head.
"She will kill you. The only person who can kill Marson is her. So, I must go and find her within forty-eight hours and kill her?" Said, Andrew.
"Andrew, start making sense. You just said she is the only person who can kill Marson. Right. Anyone who wants Marson dead is our friend. Right? So why hunt to kill her. Surely we can use her skills?"
Andrew ripped off his shirt and showed them a huge rigged scar on his shoulder.
He instantly had a flashback of the incident.
Beginning of the flashback.
Paige in her undies only flashing her round and pointed breast ran in the middle of the road. Andrew in his sports car playing loud music drumming the steering wheel looked briefly outside to his side and the minute he turned back to look in the road ahead of him. Paige was there in the middle of the road, standing there only in her undies. Quickly Andrew pressed hard on the brakes, leaving the car skidding toward her. She did not even move an inch. As he corrected the skid he brought the car to a halt just a few feet away from her. She had her eyes fully opened as Andrew came to a halt just near her. She collapsed to the ground. Andrew quickly got out of the car to her rescue.
He cursed.
"Why didn't you get out of the road? Damn it! Woman," cursed Andrew.
He quickly lifted her to take her to the hospital when she tried to elbow him in his heart area that he twisted fast, leaving her inserting a large needle in his shoulder. He threw her down. But she back-flipping to the side and laughed after.
"What’s so funny?" He roared.
"That poison to your heart will kill you in minutes," she said.
She instantly sat on the car's bonnet and checked her wristwatch.
Andrew quickly retrieved his knife and cut the place he was stabbed quickly. Then using the petrol in the container in the back of the back and setting his shoulder on fire. The moment she realized that she had missed the heart, Andrew was now looking for his gun. He closed the car bonnet and aimed to blast her. But she had run away. Even then Andrew chased after her in the fields. All night until the sun had set.
End of flashback.
"I was lucky I anticipated the attack and moved my chest-heart area just in time," said Andrew.
"But if we can use her to get to Marson, what is wrong with that?"
Andrew looked at his scar.
"She has already killed Marson," he replied calmly.
"Meaning?"
"She has injected him with the snake venom. Now she might have given him the antidote for the other poisons. But not for the slow-acting ones...," said Andrew.
"That could be true. That could have triggered the roars I heard," said Bogdan.
There were hissings.
"So are you saying that Marson has been poisoned? But she still owes him the antidote for the slow-acting poisons? Which I presume she will deliver when he has completed his end of the bargain?" Asked David.
"Exactly! He might ambush and kill her before she gets to Evelina. As she is a risk to him now. Or after she has finished with her but before she returns."
"Why forty-eight hours?"
"Time for the poisons to activate and kill him."
David stood up.
"That is a great plan. We can let her get rid of Evelina and keep our hands clean. Get all the powers, but before she handed all these to Marson and the antidote, we must ambush her and kill her. Marson even if he gets the powers the poison will do him fast?" Said Bogdan.
"Exactly!" Replied Andrew.
"What are we waiting for? I will go with you," said Bogdan.
"Carolina, go after Evelina. Do whatever you can to protect her. Andrew and Bogdan go after Paige. I will go after Marson and play stalling tactics. Drive him away. I hope he will chase after me. This could be our solution at these difficult times," said David.
"One thing, what kind of snake she extracts her poisons from? I might try to get antidotes in advance in case you are not so lucky?" Asked David.
"A seven head snake?" Replied Andrew.
They all looked at each other.
"Is there a seven head snake anywhere?"
"Yes. She is that snake," replied Andrew.
They all looked haunted.
"Somehow her body is that snake. Every part can release huge fangs. On the day of the incident, there were so many on her hand. But the longest are on her joints. Elbows, knees, etc.," said Andrew.
"What about the other fangs?" Asked Bogdan.
Andrew looked fear-stricken.
"Look at the hairs on my hand. For her they are all snake fangs," he said.
They all looked at each other.
"In that case, I think Bogdan you go with Carolina to search for Evelina instead. Let Andrew handle her."
"No, it’s okay. I can deal with her," said Bogdan, masking the fear.
"David is right. Even her t**s produce these fangs. I just don't know what else, but I better deal with her on my own," said Andrew.
He started walking to the door.
"One other thing Bogdan confessed that she dances so much to distract and buy time to surprise attack its target," said David.
"I will bear that in mind. It is payback time," roared Andrew checking his gun but scared.
"Are you sure? I can go with you?" Asked Bogdan.
They all looked at him.
“Martin reporting for Tomorrow’s World Order News Channel.”
He quickly picked up his phone.
“Put more manpower on that Evelina case, will you? I want you to find her first and not the President’s team nor Marson’s team. Did you hear that?”
The line went dead.
Hudson smiled when he realized that after all, he would be able to read the locked chapters of the golden scriptures. At one point he had doubted his calling. But the news about all these keys coming forward. Will give undoubted proof that he was the main man after all. He locked the office door and dimmed the room after wearing gloves. He opened the secret safe and retrieved the golden scriptures. Placing these on the table. He thought for a while and removed the gloves. He touched the scriptures with bare hands before letting out a sharp short scream. He looked in his hand and smiled. Quickly he checked the gold scriptures. He quickly counted how many were opened.
“Seventeen opened. Six still unlocked and one declared as unavailable,” he whispered to himself
Miles away.
Keaton and seven of his men surrounded Stacey’s uncle’s house. They urged forward holding guns stealthily that Stacey was busy grieving for her uncle to notice. They entered the unlocked house and ambushed her. Keaton, smiling and happy that at last. He was going to do the right thing, grabbed her by the neck, and lifted her high in the air from the back. She struggled to breathe but kicked him in the groin.
The other men pointed guns straight at her. She looked to check if they knew what was coming their way. She noticed they had no idea. She briefly laughed but felt scared also that if they knew even David would shoot her at point-blank range. But instantly she felt sad. These are the men she had called friends and mates for the past months. Somehow, she heard destiny calling her. She felt like crying when she realized that she would be responsible somehow for their doom.
Keaton clutched his boxers in agony.
“Don’t try anything stupid!” Thundered Keaton.
“I warned you too!” She said.
“Oh, warning this?”
“I saw you checking my groin the other day,” she replied.
“I am a lesbian as well so don’t think that you are going to screw me. You feel like screwing me first before you kill me, right?”
Keaton looked shocked and surprised.
“Hell no! Not my type. I like my woman big and loyal, not renegades. That day my men just told me you are pure, and it hits me. That they sacrifice virgins only.”
“What? So...,” she thought for a while.
“We are not f*****g you, but we are going to anoint you and let the beast feast on you. That jams your seat forever so that the devil will always have one seat shot. Above all, if the rumors are correct. You are bad news. That if we tell David. He is the one who will shoot you in the head. But if we tell him, he might stall us. So, let’s keep this a secret. Okay?”
Stacey felt her world falling apart. This was her greatest fear.
“Go on! See if I care. Tell David!”
They stopped and looked at her. Her face looked pale because of the fear that was written on her face. She was trembling.
“I guess you got the news too?”
Keaton looked at her and she looked at the Devil’s Eyes assassin laying dead.
“Now they are protecting you? It sounds unfair to you. That the people you run to for help become your worst enemies! That is the real world we are living in. It’s heartbreaking right? God today gave me what I was meant to do a long time ago. A lot of my men could still be here. Even if you were in David’s shoes you will know that a bullet in your head is the only solution that will not save only us, but all humanity!”
He walked to her and punched her hard catching her off guard.
“That’s for kicking my boys,” said Keaton pointing at his groin area.
“Tie her!”
The men quickly and ruthlessly tied her now all holding her.
“This is how serious this has become. If they get you, we are all dead. I just heard they will void instantly all seats we have. But that’s not the scary part.”
She instantly raised her head.
“If that’s not the scariest part what can be scarier than that?”
The men looked at each other.
She sensed fear in the men.
“Goddamn, just tell me?”
Keaton walked to her.
“We didn’t know. You are the key to the destruction of mankind. You alone will not only destroy our hopes. As they will void our seats, but you will also trigger the rise of mankind’s greatest enemies. So lethal and ones that ever existed on earth.”
“And what would be that?” Asked Stacey.
“The dreaded dangerous, ruthless and fast, Devil’s ghost!”
She felt a cold shiver run down her spine and all body.
“The Devil’s Ghost,” she whispered but enough for Keaton to hear.
“Yes, just you all these. The destroyer of mankind’s hope and dreams. Now you understand why I wanted you dead? I was right! Instincts! This is why mankind lived this long outpacing the dinosaurs and everything that went extinct. No matter how hard this is, I want you today to know that it’s nothing personal. To us. It is a survival tactic. I feel like you are my little sister, but your uncle was bad news. Again, David did what he could. Only to protect everyone on earth? You must know that the Devil’s ghost will s***h two-thirds or more of the people in less than a few weeks’ time, something so remote to us.”
He paused.
“We might as well shoot you here. I tried to tell everyone, but no one believed me. But I can’t let them destroy the world we know today.”
