"Doctor, please help! She's pregnant and in pain!" I rushed forward and carried Liana to the examination table in the consulting room.
"Calm down. Please stay outside while I examine her." The doctor was shocked and I quickly calmed down. He instructed the nurse on duty to install instruments for Liana and chased me out.
Reluctant as I was, I had to do as the doctor said. I paced anxiously back and forth outside the emergency room door.
"Please don't let anything happen to them. Why wasn't I more careful?" I prayed in frustration. After a moment's thought, I took out my phone and called Nico. If anything happened, Liana would feel better with Nico by her side.
No, Liana would be fine!
It happened so fast! I was not prepared at all. That was such a little life.
