The Awakening of dragons

THE PACK HOUSE

AYA POV

Luna Katia, a short curvy beautiful woman, with olive tone skin, went to the border to give me permission to enter the territory, she is been very kind and escorted me to the pack house, she has asked me to be back in my human form to set in the house, it’s a risk but I really need to rest in a bed and have a hot shower…it feels like ages.

I went behind a bush near the training ground. She is thinking I’m shy, not about my body, just no need to look at my ears, my eyes cannot be covered but I’ve to take it.

Draping my hair in a way to cover the points I put on a shirt and some shorts available and lead to the house, a huge five-storey building.

The Ground floor is an enormous open space with what seems like a living room, with two doors on the left and a sumptuous staircase on the right.

As I stepped in, not even the time to get in the magnificent space, the room was soon entered by twelve kids probably in their 10’s, 2 ran toward me cheering and asking where I’m from, soon after them a tall handsome man with dark red hair walked in.

“Kids let our guest enter and rest a bit before jumping on her!!!” he let a little giggle,

"Yes Alpha, sorry Miss”, they all said at the same time. 

When all the kids had disappeared through the giant green door he walked to me and before he could do or say anything I bowed, I don't know why but it seemed the right thing to do at the time. Grabbing my shoulder to get me straight again, and looking at me with a soft smile.

“It's not necessary to bow, in the end we are all wolves. I’m Alpha Kyle and you must be Aya, isn’t it?” I nodded, “Joy will show you in. If there is anything you need just let us know, please. We will wait for you at dinner, 7:00 sharp, don’t be late or Luna will be upset.” and Luna Katia appeared by his side jokingly slamming his chest.

Looking at them and the kids I can tell that the four dark red haired are theirs.

“Miss this is your room,” I interrupted her,

“Please, call me Aya” she smiled and said,

 “Sure, I’m Joy, the daughter of the Gamma. Your eyes… your eyes are gorgeous, scary but gorgeous” and giggling she shut the door of the room.

It’s a comfortable room, surely for guests. The white walls, like all the furniture give a sense of neutral, just the soft green comforter lets the room get some color. The bathroom is small but there is everything, a shower a sink and a toilet. In the end is much more of what I’ve had since mom passed away.

I fall on the bed and not much later slip into a slumber. It feels so good and I’m so tired to run.

Luckily I wake up at 6 and I’ve one hour to get ready for dinner. Half an hour later, after a quick shower and put on the same shirt and shorts, I’m downstairs in the kitchen to help. A very faded scent hit my nostrils as I walk in, a smell of sand and winter sea, I stuck at the door looking around to check from where that smell could arrive, I couldn’t see anything from inside the house, the scent was fading away.

I stay still, like frozen, from what my mom told me someone, MY someone was there today or yesterday….. Ceon was restless in my mind. Imagine just finding out you have almost passed by your future companion, by your soulmate. Scary.

While putting the table for dinner, for the young and unmated of the pack, Luna Katia ask about me and my whereabouts,

“You look younger than 18, how old are you?”

“I’m sixteen.” I cut it short. I didn’t want to talk too much about myself. Still Luna Katia was so friendly so I kept going, “After losing my mom I was alone and scared, and...” then I felt like she was trying to analyse me so I lied, 

“...and my wolf took over.” I do not like lying but now it’s important to cover up who I am, I’m still scared and do not trust anyone.

“Oh kid, I’m sorry for your mom but you are safe now, you can join our school, if you want to stay, and live here in the room assigned, just a few rules to be respected, training and school every day, also I don’t want anyone alone by the northern border, if you are willing to respect those you could be part of the Full moon pack. I know that by our laws you are an adult and so you can be part of this pack, but feel free to join all the activities the underage wolves do.” She said to me, the proposal was nice and no more questions were asked to me, just to be respectful. I wanted to do something for their so helpful offer. Before I could say anything one of the children said, “Please we’d be so happy if you stayed.” 

“Well I guess I don’t have a choice”, looking at the table, at their caring faces, I felt at home and almost felt like the pack fit me like a glove, in the right place at the right time. Luna then said, 

“This is an awesome news we will give you the room up stairs if you don’t mind?”, she stood up and while she was going up the stairs I followed her. I articulated with a soft voice, 

“Thanks Luna your kindness is really appreciated, I’m quite tired to hide and being scared, I would love to be here and to help, I can babysit the little ones in exchange, and be part of the pack would just be amazing, I just need some time to adjust to the idea I’ve never had one, I can’t recall having any kind of pack, ever. It would be really nice to have a place to call home after 2 years travelling.” Luna smiled and we chatted about the house and the places I had seen, I finally felt appreciated after such a long time. She left me in my room and after a deep breath I instantly fell asleep, those beds were magical.

At seven the house was filled with all the kids and young wolves of the pack. At the main table there were just 4 families, the Alphas, the Betas, the Gamma and the head Warriors, one seat was free.

“Please sit with us, my brother-in-law is not with us tonight,” Luna Katia told me, so  now I’m spending a nice evening chatting and living like a girl of my age. At the end of the dinner I helped the ranked women to clean up and then went to bed, tomorrow I could start school again, I was thrilled…..
