chapter 9

914 Words
I opened my eyes to the annoying sunlight. "Ah... it seems it's nine in the morning, and I'm late." But I didn't feel like going anywhere today or doing anything at all. "Ah, wait..." Kain! I looked around, but he wasn't there. What happened? Yesterday, I let him see me while I was sad. Damn it, how did I do that? He must be making fun of me now with that arrogant girl. I went to the bathroom and took a cold shower, then ate my breakfast and sat down to calculate the amount of money I would send to my sister. While I was organizing my books, those pictures fell out. They were his pictures. A picture of that bastard! Why were they among my books? I quickly took them, tore them apart, and threw them onto the table in front of me. My body trembled whenever I thought about forgetting him. Why does he keep appearing in front of me like this without permission? "I hate you! Get out of my head! Disappear!" Then my phone screen lit up. There were pictures of me sleeping, sent by that i***t Kain. He had written notes about how I looked every day while I was sleeping. I laughed unconsciously. "How ridiculous..." I texted him: "What are you doing today? Do you have any plans?" He replied: "What? Are you going to take me on a date?" I answered: "Yes, let's go on a date together today." He was silent for a moment, then wrote: "Okay, my love." I wrote: "You're so ridiculous, you child." He sent a crying cat sticker. His actions make me laugh at him, but I like them. Going on a date with someone like him will make me forget that bastard. This is better than sitting around and thinking about him all day. Do I still have feelings for him after what he did to me? Kain suddenly appeared in my life. He really helped me, but his memories have become like poison to me. I have to forget him. --- In the evening, I took out a dress. It was yellow with white flowers, reached my knees, and had long sleeves. I left my black hair loose, took my bag, and hurried outside. He was already there, but this time he had a car that looked expensive. I don't know what kind of car it was, but it certainly looked expensive. "Did you rent it?" I asked him. He answered: "Yes, from my friend. So let's go anywhere you want." "To the amusement park." He looked at me in surprise. "The amusement park? Why?! Are you a child?" He said it sarcastically. I answered playfully: "Yes, I'm a child, Uncle." He laughed loudly, then opened the car door for me and said: "Go ahead, little one." I got into the car with him, and we drove away. The whole way, we joked and laughed. I decided to forget all my worries today. We entered the amusement park. Kain said: "Let's go on the roller coaster." I answered: "No, I want to buy cotton candy." "Okay, we'll buy it, then we'll ride the roller coaster." "Yayyy! Hooray!" He was surprised by my childish behavior, but I decided to do whatever I wanted today. After an hour of trying all the rides, I said to him: "When are the fireworks?" He answered calmly, as if he were thinking about something: "In half an hour. Why are you asking?" I answered: "Obviously, I want to try the haunted maze before the fireworks." He said tiredly: "I surrender. Your energy is really high today." I grabbed his hand and pulled him inside. The horror inside was ridiculous, maybe because I like horror movies and these things don't affect me. Suddenly, I saw that little girl. She was sitting alone and crying, while her mother was busy taking care of her little sister. I hurried toward her and hugged her. "No, don't cry. There's nothing scary. Take a deep breath. You're strong. Don't cry." --- Kain I was surprised today when she asked me to go to the amusement park. She had so much energy, laughing and playing like a child. I never imagined her like this. But I was surprised inside that cave. Suddenly, she seemed frightened, left me, and ran to a corner, then started talking to nothing. She was talking to herself and crying. What is happening to her? I hurried toward her and tried with all my strength to make her come to her senses. --- Laila I could hear his voice calling me. I looked at him and said: "Kain, let's help this little girl." He looked at me in surprise and fear. "Laila, there is no one here. There is no little girl." I looked at him in confusion, then looked around me. Yes... The girl had disappeared. Where was she? She was here! Kain held my hand and said: "You seem tired. Let's go home now." --- Kain Could she be hallucinating? What is really wrong with her? Her behavior has been strange to me all day, and I don't know how to deal with her. I want to be the bastard and the only person in her life. I'm the only one who has the right to enjoy her strange and funny behavior and make her cry. And I want to be the first hero in her life. Only me. Kain. Me alone. To be continued...
