"I beg of you!" he beseeched, his voice filled with anguish. "Help our village! Children have gone missing!" In that moment, the gravity of the situation enveloped me. The plight of the village, the innocence lost, ignited a fire within my heart. With unwavering resolve, I vowed to lend my aid, to protect those in need and As the weight of their sorrow settled upon my shoulders, I extended my hand, offering solace and guidance. "Let us retreat to a more secluded space, where no prying eyes can bewitch us with their thoughts. Shall we?" I proposed, and the old man, tears glistening in his eyes, rose to his feet. Together, we made our way to a quiet lounge, seeking respite from the outside world. Seated across from each other, I sipped my coffee, its warmth a comforting embrace amidst the unfolding tale of despair. The old man, dressed in humble farmer's attire—a brown shirt, now tinged with earthy hues, and worn pants—appeared burdened by the weight of his experiences. His eyes reflected the strain of his circumstances, a reflection of the trials he had endured. Curiosity mingled with compassion as I inquired, "Pray, tell me, what events have transpired to bring you such anguish?" Beside him, his weeping wife clung to hope, her tears mirroring the depth of their pain. With a trembling voice, he began his account. "I was tending to our coffee bean farm, my child by my side, helping me nurture our precious crop," he revealed. The details of their livelihood unfolded, painting a picture of their modest existence. "But one day," he continued, his voice thick with emotion, "my son shared a chilling revelation. He claimed to have seen a mysterious being lurking nearby. Concerned for his safety, I instructed him to remain where he was until my return. Yet, when I turned to look behind me... my son had vanished!" His grief spilled forth, mingling with the sorrow of other parents in the village who had experienced similar losses. As the weight of their anguish settled within me, I found myself grappling with the limitations of this realm, devoid of modern surveillance. There were no watchful eyes to capture the truth, only the whispers of ancient magic. "We possess little," his wife interjected, her voice trembling, "but we offer you our coffee beans as a token of gratitude. We are willing to sacrifice our own sustenance. Please, you are the legendary four swords. Be our savior," she pleaded, her desperation palpable. A sigh escaped my lips, a blend of weariness and determination. "I shall endeavor to do my utmost, but I implore you not to lay blame upon me if success eludes our grasp," I cautioned, mindful of the unpredictable nature of the task at hand. Their cries of gratitude filled the air, their voices intertwining with hope and relief. In the midst of their gratitude, a question lingered within me, begging to be answered. With gentle resolve, I posed my query, watching as they swallowed nervously, their expressions betraying knowledge they were hesitant to share. "May I inquire about the whereabouts of the Sorai?" I asked, their reactions betraying the truth I had suspected. "Rumors suggest that your village has guarded its location, ensuring its secrecy." Fear etched itself upon their faces, their hesitation plain for all to see. "We cannot..." they began, their voices quivering. "In exchange for the children of this village, tell me. Where is it?" I interjected, my gaze locked onto theirs. "Let us not descend into deceit and treachery," I warned, my tone firm but tinged with empathy. “The Enchanted forest is at—,” Their resolve faltered, and they succumbed to the weight of truth, revealing the secrets they had guarded so fiercely. Words spilled forth, painting a path towards the Sorai, the ancient artifact that held the key to this dark mystery. After absorbing the weight of the villagers' sorrow and securing the knowledge of the Sorai's whereabouts, I emerged from the confines of the lounge, seeking solace in the moonlit night. It was there, amidst the serenity of the evening, that I caught sight of Helios, his figure silhouetted against the ethereal glow. The moon, casting its luminous embrace upon his countenance, revealed the captivating allure that had captivated many before. Clad in a flowing red robe, a color emblematic of royalty, he exuded an air of regal confidence. His eyes, a deep crimson reminiscent of spilled blood, glimmered with an intensity that spoke of passion and power. As I approached, our gazes met, and a subtle smirk danced upon his lips. "What are you looking at?" he scoffed, his tone laced with playful arrogance. Unintentionally, I blurted out my observation, caught off guard by the magnetism of his gaze. "Your... eyes," I confessed, my words betraying the curiosity that welled within me. A mischievous glint flickered within his crimson orbs as he attempted to provoke me. "Falling in love with me?" he jested, as if relishing the opportunity to tease. I sighed, my exasperation evident. "I am straight," I retorted, hoping to extinguish his attempts at incitement. "Really?" he questioned, his voice tinged with mock surprise. "I almost thought you were gay for me." "Shut up, Helios," I muttered, my patience wearing thin. "Prince Helios would be fine, but Emperor Helios sounds even better," he declared, his words dripping with self-assured confidence. But my purpose in seeking him out was not to engage in banter. "Children are missing," I stated plainly, my voice laden with the weight of the situation. Helios's response was callous, his lack of concern evident. "So?" he asked dismissively, as if the lives of the missing children held no significance. I bristled at his indifference, my annoyance palpable. "Is that all you have to say?" I questioned, my tone incredulous. "People die," he retorted callously, his words cutting through the night air like a chilling gust of wind. "In exchange for the children, they are willing to trade me the location of the Enchanted Forest," I revealed, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. A sneer tugged at the corners of Helios's lips. "Is that so?" he sneered. "Then let's go—" "No," I interrupted, my voice firm and resolute. "I will stay and search for the children, whether dead or alive." Helios's response was laced with disdain. "Then stay," he spat, his words seething with arrogance. "It's not as if you're that important to me." "Fine," I retorted coolly, refusing to be swayed by his haughty demeanor. "Would you like to know your weakness?" I challenged, my eyes locking onto his. "I don't have any weaknesses," he boasted, his pride on full display. A knowing smile tugged at the corners of my lips. "Your weakness is your pride," I stated, my words cutting through the night like a whispered truth. His initial defiance wavered, replaced by a flicker of uncertainty. "It's because I know my place—" he began. "Then shut your royal mouth in front of me," I commanded, refusing to let his regal status intimidate me. His response was swift and confrontational. Moving closer, he pressed his forehead against mine, his breath hot with anger. "Then make me," he challenged, his voice laced with defiance. Meeting his gaze head-on, I locked eyes with him, refusing to back down. "I will," I declared, my resolve unyielding, our faces mere inches apart. The tension in the air was palpable, a brewing storm of confrontation. But before our clash could escalate further, a rustling sound interrupted our heated exchange. Both of us turned towards the source, our eyes scanning the darkness. And there, in the dim moonlight, we caught sight of small footprints trailing away. "What's that?" I questioned, my curiosity piqued as I leaned in closer, attempting to discern the nature of the sound. But before I could react, Helios, in a moment of impulsive aggression, shoved me, causing my face to plunge into the mud below. Fury welled within me as I rose, my eyes narrowing in on him. Without a second thought, I retaliated, my hands scooping up mud to fling at his face. Soon, we were engaged in a messy, mud-slinging battle, our frustrations finding release in this unconventional exchange. "How dare you put dirt on me?!" he bellowed indignantly, his voice filledwith wounded pride. "How dare you shove my face into the soil?!" I retorted, my anger mirroring his. "I hate you!" our voices echoed through the night, a chorus of conflict and frustration that reverberated in the stillness. In that moment, as mud-covered adversaries, we paused, our eyes locked in a shared realization. Our animosity, fueled by pride and circumstance, had obscured the unity we needed to face the challenges ahead.
