Chapter 3: The Beautiful Boss

Ye Sha rode his scooter onto the road, the sun was quite harsh, and it was somewhat hot.
Although it was the peak hour for the afternoon shift, the road was not crowded. Perhaps, due to fear of anomalies, many residents chose to stay at home.
"What's the point of hiding? Didn't I suffer at home last night?"
Ye Sha sighed. He could understand the choices made by residents; they were just trying to protect themselves. However, the world of anomalies was too terrifying. They could emerge anywhere, and it was impossible to guard against them.
Lost in thoughts, he arrived at his workplace, parked his scooter, and got on the elevator of the building.
After graduating from college, he couldn't find a job that matched his degree. Because he liked fitness, he submitted his resume here, and unexpectedly, he got the job.
The gym was large in scale and quite professional. The quality and abilities of the coach team were commendable. It was a decent place.
After the anomalies occurred, some office workers decided not to go to work and stayed home. But it was stifling and running to sweat off in the gym had become a cathartic release for most. This made the business of the gym go well, and Ye Sha was naturally doing well due to his good looks and skills.
After punching in for work, Ye Sha entered the gym where a few of his colleagues, who were currently teaching, waved at him as a greeting.
Standing at the counter was a hot woman with a tall stature, thin and slender waist, her provocative curves accentuated by her gym attire. Dressed in a sports jacket and yoga pants, her legs and the voluptuous hips were a sight for sore eyes.
This was none other than the boss of the gym, Liu Yuning!
Ye Sha was a bit restrained, covering his face as he thought about moving towards the changing room. He dared not confront this beauty of a boss, who always seemed to tease him.
It wasn't that he did not like beautiful women, but because Boss Liu was too dominant, he couldn't deal with it.
"Are you avoiding me again? Will I eat you?"
Her melodious voice echoed from behind him. Ye Sha halted awkwardly, adjusted his expression, and then turned around to laugh.
"No, I was just thinking, because I didn't come in the morning, I should get to work quickly."
"Oh, are you that conscientious?"
Liu Yuning approached him, a sarcastic smile on her face as her beautiful eyes fixed on his, obviously in disbelief.
Seeing her dazzling face, Ye Sha nodded in embarrassment.
"Come to my office!"
The boss spoke, and he, being a mere worker, had no choice but to scurry behind her towards the office.
While walking behind her, Ye Sha unwittingly glanced down and couldn’t help but blush. Suppressing his unwholesome thoughts, he realized his unusual state.
He had never had such intense desires before. If it wasn't for his rationale, he would have almost succumbed to his instinct!
"Is this the aftermath of the Werewolf body? It's so scary!"
Ye Sha shifted his gaze towards the ceiling, so as not to be swayed by desire again.
Liu Yuning had no idea about Ye Sha's thoughts. She merely thought he was a shy young man. Initially, she found fun in teasing Ye Sha. Also, she had some feelings of affection towards him when she first hired him.
In the office, Liu Yuning took her seat behind the desk and motioned for Ye Sha to sit.
"Tell me, how's your health? Should you take sick leave?"
Liu Yuning asked with concern rather than being annoyed at him.
"I’m better now, just suffering from a possible cold due to excessive air conditioning."
Ye Sha was a little surprised too. He thought that he was going to get scolded. After all, this was the first time he had skipped work in a year.
"The anomalies in Jiangyang city have also increased recently. Why don't you stay at the company instead of returning home?"
Liu Yuning made a suggestion, which was not a joke at all.
As their gym was located in a bustling commercial district, and a police station was right across the street, it seemed a safer prospect.
"Boss, I appreciate your concern. But, where can I stay in the company?"
Ye Sha laughed. Having experienced being chased by an anomaly, he knew that an ordinary person simply could not deal with it, regardless of the close proximity of the police station.
"Live upstairs, there are many vacant rooms in my house..."
Liu Yuning mischievously smiled, purposely teasing Ye Sha once more.
Not only was she the boss of the gym, but she was also the owner of the building. The whole floor above was her residence. This was an attractive, wealthy woman!
Ye Sha was suddenly at a loss for words. When he recovered, he stammered, "This... may not be a good idea..."
"Hahaha!"
Liu Yuning burst into laughter, clearly amused by his shy reaction. Such a naive young man!
Ye Sha's eyes widened at the sight of her shaking, beautiful peaks. Who could resist getting dizzy from that sight?
Afraid that his desire might arise, he shifted his gaze again.
"Alright, no more jokes. The internet company operating on this floor is closing down, so they will vacate the space. I've decided to convert it into a dormitory for our employees. You can live there, it will save you some money!"
There was indeed an internet company on this floor of the gym, but they had to shut down due to the occurrence of the anomalies and their staff leaving.
"Alright... I’ll consider it!"
Ye Sha did not agree immediately. After all, he now had a secret that he could not reveal. Therefore, he needed to be considerate about each action.
Liu Yuning was not satisfied with Ye Sha's reply. As she was about to persuade him further, a frantic knock on the door could be heard from the outside, followed by the receptionist, Xiao Liu, shouting.
"Sister Liu, something’s happened!"
