Unknown POV I'd seen her as I lurked in the shadows, she was so close to being mine but I wasn't strong enough. I could have taken her but that mutt that she thought was her mate would have been tough to beat and I needed to conserve my energy for when I could finally take her. She had no idea how strong she was, what we could do together and how much happier she would be serving me, her true mate. A knock at the door made me jump and I snarled at the interruption.
