The guilt was completely overwhelming. My parents weren't exactly known for their kindness and yes they'd treated Ottilie abysmally but to abandon the children of warriors that had fought for this pack, I really didn't think they couldn't get any lower.
"We should have done something sooner about them," muttered Noah as he carried furniture out of the communal living space to make room for the beds. We were turning the living room and dining room into temporary dormitories whilst we looked for another solution for the children. "Burying our heads in the sand is the worlds s******t excuse."
"I've kept my mouth shut until now but your parents really are assholes and that's me being nice," said Damon as he maneuvered beds around the room.
