Bride’s Waiting Room~ The light bulbs flickered on, the darkness in the room fading away, almost immediately consumed by light. The slow tic-tac sound coming from the clock gave the room a haunting feeling. But what was more haunting was the fact that Valeria sat alone in the darkness before the lights were turned on. She was sitting in front of her dressing mirror, all dazzled up like the bride she was meant to be. Her eyes were on the mirror, staring at herself, unbothered by whoever had just come in to drag her out of her own depth of darkness. The door closed, and she could hear the sound of muffled thuds.
