Chapter Six
For their journey, they have prepared a lot that they even have to use five ships in total just to avoid failure.
The three ships are each from the three continents and the two that were left were from the empire.
The rain was still pouring hard on them.
Mathew was trying to focus to read the documents on his table when Lucas suddenly opened the door.
“Your majesty we are in trouble!”
“Calm down Lucas, what is the problem?” he asks as he put away the documents in his hand.
“The ship is sinking!”
“What?” Mathew asks in disbelief.
“There was a hole in the engine part of the ship your majesty. We need to transfer you to the other ship immediately!” Lucas uttered trying hard to be composed.
Mathew tried to calm down despite his racing heart.
“Lucas, during this moment you must not prioritize me but your life.”
“Your majesty, what are you talking about? It is only natural for me to prioritize you!” Lucas protested.
“I understand you but let us transfer the crews and the civilians in this ship first. You may also escape with them,” Mathew suggested.
“No your majesty, I will not escape first,” Lucas opposed.
Mathew stood up from his chair when suddenly the electricity of the ship was shut down as the ship swayed violently because of the furious waves.
They both fell on the floor while the things started to slide from side to side, they tried to protect themselves from the moving objects, fortunately, and the ship was back to being balanced.
They immediately stood up.
“Your majesty, let’s head up to the upper deck immediately!” Lucas uttered.
“Let’s go,” Mathew replied as they walk outside.
Along the way, they bump on Casis and his aide Aeron who was behind him.
“Your majesty!” He called.
“Casis where are the others?” Mathew asks as they continue to walk.
“Majority of the crews and civilians have already been transferred to the other ships,” Casis informed.
“Nathan and Allen?” Mathew asks.
“I have been looking for them too,” Casis answered, fortunately, they have found the two men they were looking for, who were also with their aides.
“Let’s go to the upper deck!” Mathew announced and then suddenly, the ship was unbalanced again making all of them fall and slide back to the bottom.
“Is Celine safe?” Mathew asks during the movement.
“I have checked her room but she was not in there anymore!” Allen replied.
The ships stops from swaying violently and they automatically stood up and run faster towards the stairs.
But when they were running towards the stairs there were swords already pointed in them.
Mathew was surprised but gained his composure again as he stared at the enemies who were blocking their way.
“Why are you here Erius?” He questioned as his stare became darker.
“I’m are here for fun, of course!” Erius answered followed by a grin.
They were about to pull their weapon to defend themselves but Erius remained composed.
“If I were you I will cooperate, we planted bombs in this ship so if you value other’s life then you should be good boys right? Now put away your weapons,” He announced as he smiled showing his unleveled and sharp teeth.
A moment of silence arise for a second, and without further objection, they put away their weapons.
Tied by the monster’s servant, they were escorted on the upper deck where the others were also being held as hostages.
‘Celine,’ Mathew thought being worried if where she has been.
While rain was heavy and all of them were drenched, they were forced to kneel on the floor.
Mathew glared at Erius when he showed up in front of him again.
“Oh, such scary eyes you have there,” the monster said with a mocking smile.
“It’s never new to a coward like you,” Mathew replied as he smirk when he received a strong kick to his stomach.
“Your majesty! You dared to—”
Lucas was never given the chance to complete his sentence because he got beaten up as well.
“I swear I would beat you like a pulp when I have a chance!” Nathan yelled as he gritted his teeth in anger.
“Nathan, someone like him would never get the chance to get beaten up,” Casis uttered as he stared at the monster.
“Oh, you have some smart friend there,” Erius gladly commented.
“Of course, I am smart enough to understand that someone as an i***t and coward like you could never get beaten up because you would run away before my knuckles could punch that scaly face of yours, you motherf*ck*ng fish!” Casis said as he felt the veins in his head was pulsating.
“You put shame on your clan that even the sea never wanted to acknowledge someone like you,” Allen commented.
Upon hearing their words, Erius who was being insulted in front of his comrades became angry and started to get berserk.
“Beat everyone until they can no longer walk,” he commanded as he stared at them.
Mathew who just got recovered from the pain in his stomach received another beating again together with everyone.
The monster who attack them was called Oceanoids, they were half fish-half monsters but have legs to walk. Their body was covered with scales almost like they wear suits on them. They have no genitals and most of them are males. Usually, they cannot withstand dry land and dry atmosphere but since it was raining that is why they can be up on the water longer than they could.
The lightning was dancing in the grey clouds as thunder can be heard aloud. The waves were so furious as if it was angry at the moment where Mathew and the rest were being kicked and punched by the captors.
Celine who was not in her room but was in the engine part of the ship was swimming through the rising water, trying to find the hole, and was having a hard time since she even forgot how to swim. Being irritated she lifted both of her hands as the water made an aisle for her to walk through.
After minutes of searching where the hole is, she has finally found it.
“Finally,” she uttered as her hands glowed.
Like bubbles that suddenly faded, the waters were gone and the hole was being repaired like a new one.
“Do not move!” a voice behind her said.
Without any second thoughts, she moved and turned around to see the owner of the voice.
“Hmm? What is an Oceanoid doing here?” she asks.
Suddenly her heart beats faster which made her bewildered. Her emerald eyes began to tremble when she felt a sudden chill on her spine.
‘Master!’ her mind screams.
She moved her right hand as the monster levitate near her.
“You must be scared since you cannot move, but since you are very lucky today that you have met me, tell me everything you know and I promise your death will not be painful,” she said as her gaze darkened in frustration.
Meanwhile, on the upper deck of the ship Mathew was full of cuts and bruises while he spits the blood in his mouth, he stared back at Erius who was having fun the entire time they got tortured.
“Do not look at me like that emperor, you should not look like that to the one who holds your life right now,” Erius said as he laughs.
“That hands of yours does not hold anyone’s life at all. Have you forgotten? You are not that strong,” He managed to say.
The monster laugh in amusement.
“Whatever you say, but right at this moment, all of you who are kneeling at me right now is strong evidence that I am strong!”
Mathew did not respond to him.
“You must be hoping that your knights from the other ships will come to help you here. Too bad, my servants have put them as hostages as well, so do not hope anymore,” he announced with a wide grin plastered on his face.
Because of the beatings, they have received, Mathew and the rest do not have any strength to pull themselves together anymore.
“You lose!” Erius declared as he laugh proudly.
“Says who?” A sudden voice echoed.
Mathew who heard the familiar voice suddenly felt relieved as he tried to find where the voice is coming from, but he failed.
“Who are you?!” Erius asks as he roams his eyes trying to find the one he is having a conversation with.
“I guess I am the one who will rip that filthy mouth of yours.”
Everyone was trying their best to find where she was.
“Where are you?!” The monster yelled.
“Right here,” A voice behind him answered.
He felt goosebumps from the voice as he automatically moved away from her. He looks at the barefooted girl who wears oversize clothing that was hugging her small figure because of being drench in the rain.
“Hah! A girl?! Judging from your looks you must be their w***e?” He asks as he laughs hard, “And what can you do? Entertain me?” he continues to insult her.
“Bro, this is the death of you,” Nathan managed to say while still laying on the floor.
“You mean your w***e?! Why would she be the death of me?” The monster answered followed by his laugh.
“Well, such a beautiful girl like her should be my woman instead,” Erius said as his smile grows wider.
“…I will rip that mouth of yours,” she uttered as her emerald eyes glimmered from the sudden lightning.
The enemies began to tremble when they saw her float in the air.
“I’ll start with your friends first,” the girl said while his underlings started to float as well.
They saw it with their own eyes, even though it was raining hard, the monsters started to get burned and then turned into ashes.
Erius began to feel scared.
“Do you think you could defeat me? I still have my men—”
She cut his words when she looked at him in the eyes.
“Oh, you mean them?” She said as she pointed to the sky.
Everyone lifted their heads and they all saw the enemies’ beheaded bodies.
“You… You are a monster! A devil!” Erius cried feeling terrified.
“That’s correct! Now you understand that I am not anyone’s w***e right?” Celine replied.
“Now may I ask, how you would like to die?” she asks as she tilts her head a little.
“You cannot kill me! If you do I will trigger the bombs that we have placed in each ship!” He announced as he raised his hand holding the bomb’s switch.
Suddenly Erius felt pain and when he looked, he saw both of his arms were amputated.
He cried in pain.
“It surprises me that a monster like you knows how to cry,” She said without any remorse.
As she raised her right hand there was a sudden light coming out from it that went through the clouds.
“Well, if you are already a monster then perhaps I am more.”
Surprisingly, the storm stops.
“I hate being stuck under the storm,” she mumbled.
“Now, say hello to your friends when you get there,” she continued.
“Celine!” Mathew called.
She stops what she was about to do and looked at her master who’s filled with bruises and scars.
“Do not kill him, just throw him back to the sea,” Mathew commanded.
She stared for a minute at him as she blink her eyes twice and glance back at Erius.
“Hmm, you’re still lucky that my master is kind. You should apologize to him,” she said to the weeping monster.
Erius was speechless and could not find a word to say.
“You won’t? Then I will just kill you.”
“No! I... I am sorry,” He said almost like a whisper.
“Louder!” She yelled as she started to raise her glowing hand.
“I am sorry!!” Erius shouted.
Celine snaps her finger and throws the monster in a faraway part of the ocean.
She glance at her master and walks to him who was still on the floor as the rope tightly tied on their wrist suddenly disappeared.
“I am sorry that I was late, master,” She said as she kneeled to the floor.
“You are just on time,” Mathew answered as he patted her head.
“Let us hurry, the ship was about to sink!” Lucas reminded.
“The ship is okay, I have repaired the hole in the engine room,” Celine responded.
“Is that why you are not in your room?” Mathew asks her with a gentle voice.
“Yes,” she answered.
“We must call the doctor since everyone is needed to get treated right now,” Lucas suggested at them.
“No need,” Celine uttered as she assist Mathew to stands up as well.
She raised her right hand as it glows, everyone’s bruises and drained energy were healed.
“I have also healed those who are injured on the other ships so everything is fine right now,” she announced.
Mathew smiled at her as he patted her head again, the lady was confused by this type of action.
“Is this some kind of punishment for coming late master?” she asks in confusion.
“Nope, it means you did a great job. Thank you, Celine,” Mathew sincerely said.
Casis and the rest bowed their heads as their sincere gratitude to her.
All is well like the storm that fades away.
The sky turns back into blue as there was an eagle who was flying in the sky watches them from a great distance witnessing their glee.
The ships continued to sail successfully and it was already sunset.
She was standing on the deck watching the orange sky being reflected by the seawater.
Celine was already wearing dry clothes given by her master as her black hair was getting along with the wind.
“You look stress?” Mathew who was standing beside him said.
“Master, please stop saying words I cannot understand.”
He smiled at her response.
“I just want you to know that everyone here respected you and no one sees you as evil.”
“Did they tell you that?”
“No but I can tell,” he answered.
“Then if my master says it, I shall believe,” she simply answers.
“Believe in whatever you believe too,” Mathew said while patting her head again.
She didn’t respond and just looked at him who was smiling at her, the sunset in the background made his eyes shine and his hair became messy because of the wind.
“You're being unusual again Master,” she said bluntly.
"Master, may I ask?"
"Yes you may," he replied.
"Why do that monster hates you?"
Mathew glance at the setting sun.
"Because I defeated him once, that his own father disowned him," he answered with guilt on his tone, "But if I let him win during that time, the people I loved will die. I need to choose, and I chose to feel this guilt till the end," he added.
Celine didn't respond anymore.
Meanwhile, in another realm, he who was sitting on the throne surrounded by the darkness was patiently waiting for him to come.
An eagle suddenly came by and suddenly transformed into a human. He bowed his head to the man.
“My lord, I have delivered news for you,” It said.
“Spill it.”
“The humans have successfully retrieved the sorcerer.”
He was furious when he heard the news but surprisingly became calm out of a sudden.
“Let them have the time of their lives for now,” Said the man as his mouth started to grin evilly.
