Chapter Nineteen
Shin who can’t transform into a bird anymore was wearing a floor-length cloak to conceal his identity and was secretly gazing at the sorcerer who was standing by the window in a boutique.
Her hair was tuck behind her ears and her emerald eyes were looking at the pretty clouds.
‘You’ll going to regret why you did not kill me when you still can,’ he thought as he gritted his teeth remembering his burned wings.
Leaning his back on the cold and dirty wall, he kept on staring at the lady with a pair of emerald eyes. However, he lowered his head when Celine stared back at him.
‘s**t! She saw me!’ Shin uttered to himself as he tuck the hood of his cloak lower.
Meanwhile, Celine whose been standing for a few hours listening to their conversation laid her gaze on the unfamiliar man in a cloak.
‘Stupid, I could easily recognize you even if you don’t lower the hood of your cloak. You shouldn’t dress like that in a broad daylight if you want to stalk me,’ her mind commented.
“Celine?” Mathew called.
“Yes, master?” she replied and glance at him.
“What do you like?” he asks as Lorenzo showed her the two gowns in his hand.
“Please choose for me, I can’t choose for myself,” Celine uttered as she eyed Lorenzo.
“Why, of course, my lady!” Lorenzo answered delighted by her words, “Please follow me to the fitting room,” he continued as he gently pull Celine inside the dressing room.
“Oh, do I need to try it?” she asks innocently.
“Yes my lady, I want to know if it fits on you perfectly or if not, we can just try another one,” Lorenzo replied.
“Oh, I see,” Celine responded and look back at the corner of the street where she found the unfamiliar man a while ago, but he was not there anymore.
‘Did he look for another location so that I couldn’t find him? Well, I can still detect him, though,’ she said to herself and let Lorenzo push her into the fitting room.
“Please try this okay?” Lorenzo uttered and hand her the gown.
“…okay,” she answered and closed the door.
Mathew was patiently waiting and sitting on the couch together with the three kings.
Then suddenly, Monica cleared her throat breaking the silence.
“Your majesty, may I ask a favor?” Monica who was sitting beside him said.
“Yes, what is it?” Mathew answered as he glance at her.
“May I ask if you could accompany me outside, I would like to buy some flowers for my mother, she loves it,” she replied as she tuck the strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Oh, then, Nathan,” Mathew called.
“…Your majesty, I would like to have some time with you. After all, it’s been a while since we walked in the capital, don’t worry it won’t be too long,” Monica interrupted.
Mathew stared back at her before he eyed Nathan and the rest who were only looking at them with a strange stare.
“...Don’t worry your majesty, we will take care of Celine in the meantime,” Allen assured and smiled at him.
“…Then, shall we go now, my lady?” Mathew announced as he eyed Monica.
“Yes we should,” Monica replied with a big smile as she wrap her arms around his left arm.
Mathew and Monica exited the boutique while the three men remained seated on the couch.
A few minutes have pass by and Allen remembered he has another thing to buy. Nathan and Casis went with him but instructed Lorenzo that they will be back for a short while.
Celine who exited the dressing room saw that the rest were gone.
“My lady, Lady Monica, and the emperor exited the shop a while ago, and one moment after, the three kings followed. They said that they will be back for a short while so please just relax here for a moment, I have prepared you a snack,” Lorenzo said with a smile.
“Oh, it can’t be helped, then I’ll just wait for them here,” Celine replied.
“So how was the gown?” Lorenzo asks.
“It fit well,” she answered.
“It’s good to hear,” the man smiled, “Lady Celine, it’s my first time seeing you, it seems like you’re foreign?” Lorenzo uttered.
Celine sits on the couch while Lorenzo sits on the chair directly opposite her.
“….. What exactly is foreign?” Celine replied.
“Well, a foreign is someone who was not from this place,” Lorenzo answered.
“Am I too obvious?” Celine asks.
“No, not really, but there’s something from you that is…different,” Lorenzo responded.
“…Well, maybe I am,” She replied shortly and shrug her shoulder before another customer entered the shop.
“Oh, please excuse me, my lady, if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call me,” Lorenzo uttered before he approach the customer.
She stared at Lorenzo who was having a conversation with the customer and then glanced at the busy view outside.
‘Now, before that guy does something ill, I should find him before he finds my master,’ she thought as she secretly exited the shop without giving notice to the owner.
She roams her eyes to her surroundings and started to walk where she last saw the man with a cloak, but failed to find him.
She took a deep breath as her fingers started to glow.
‘I will find you for sure,’ her mind uttered.
Meanwhile, Shin who was secretly following Mathew and Monica was wearing a victorious smile.
‘Stupid sorcerer, leaving her master alone with a weak human girl. What a fool!’ Shin thought.
He was about to grasp Mathew’s shoulder when someone pulled his cloak, revealing his face.
“What the!?” he uttered and eyed the person who pulled her cloak.
He was bewildered when he saw a small kid holding the hem of his black cloak.
“What are you doing kid?” Shin whispered angrily.
The kid only laughs at him.
“It’s fun to play mister!” The kid replied and smiled brightly at him.
“Listen, kid, I am not into games,” he whispered back and pull the hem of his cloak from the child’s grip.
He was about to face Mathew again when he noticed that he was already staring at them.
“Your majesty, do you know them?” he heard the lady ask the emperor.
“…No,” Shin heard him replied.
‘This is bad, I should go now,’ He thought as he immediately went on his way.
A few walks away from Mathew, his eyes widened when the three kings were walking towards the same direction as he was.
‘Damn!’ his mind cursed and immediately walk towards a dark narrowed path.
“Hey we should go to a shortcut,” Shin heard them say.
“And where is that shortcut?”
“Here”
Shin became anxious when he saw the three kings was heading on his way.
‘Why am I so unfortunate?!’ his mind whispered.
Having no choice and nowhere to hide, he shrinks into a petite black cat. Moving swiftly away from the place despite his burned marks who were visible no matter what form he used made him eager to kill the sorcerer more.
But he bump on a drunk man’s heel and received a kick on his stomach.
The pain was killing him and he was out of breath for a while that he couldn’t move.
‘Humans are pissing me off!’ he angrily thought.
“Meow!” he uttered out of breath in his cat form and force himself to stand and walk away.
He was about to pass out when he felt that someone embraces him and carried him away.
His vision was blurred but he tried to focus his vision on the person’s face.
“Good thing that I found you,” a familiar voice uttered.
His eyes widened and his vision started to get clearer as he met a pair of emerald eyes.
“Surprise?” Celine whispered with a playful smirk.
