I sat in my office and thought back to the way Emily fainted in front of me yesterday because of her fever.
After she fainted, I quickly rushed her to the hospital. The doctor told me she had reached 102.2°F and that any later could have been hazardous to her health.
I felt sorry for her and wanted to take care of her in the hospital, but Kate suddenly woke up and found out I was not home so she made a fuss and refused to sleep. The maid had no choice but to call me, so I left a note for Emily and rushed back home.
