Annabelle's POV
"Lock her in the storage room." Constantine thundered.
The men approached and grabbed me.
"What will you do with me?" I asked.
He smiled mischievously. He grabbed my jaw and sneered at me face. Then he looked down at me body and whistled. I suddenly got the urge to wrap my arms around myself because I felt violated. But his men were holding me tight.
"By nighttime, you will keep my clients happy." He announced happily.
I got the message immediately. He was going to w***e me out. Before I could even get a chance to protest, his men dragged me out of his presence and into the storage. They locked me in and I banged on the door repeatedly begging to be released.
I kept up at it for hours until I exhausted myself. I finally curled into a ball at the far end of the room and cried myself to sleep.
The sound of my phone vibrating in my pocket jolted me awake. I sat up instantly to see that dusk was fast approaching. My heart began to best wildly as Constantine's threats replayed in my head.
My phone kept vibrating bringing me back to reality. I pulled it out to see it was a number I didn't recognize. I hit the answer button and held the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I croaked into the receiver.
"Anabelle." George's voice called back.
I was surprised to hear from him but I was grateful too.
"George!" I replied in excitement. "You called."
"Of course. I returned to the cafe this evening for some fix and Adeline says you don't work there anymore." He said.
I looked down at my feet and sighed heavily. He heard.
"What's going on, Ana?" He asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Paul fired me. He said I breeched the terms of my employment by colluding with his customers." I told him.
It was now his turn to sigh.
"Where are you? I'll come pick you up and make it up to you."
"Oh no that's fine. You don't have to." I protested.
"I insist." He insisted.
I took a deep breath and wondered maybe the universe sent him at this point so he could help me out of this situation. I rattled off the name I saw on the casino.
"What the hell are you doing in that quirky place?" George asked fiercely.
"You have to come get me, George. I'm in trouble." I finally broke down.
"I'm on my way." He said immediately and I heard some shuffling in the background before the line went dead.
I threw the phone back into my pocket and resumed my crying. I was there alone for what seemed like forever before I finally heard the sound of the door as it clicked open.
I got up immediately and plastered myself against the wall wishing I could disappear. It was already night time and I couldn't help but think they were here to make do on the threats.
"Get her!" Jones commanded.
His minions stormed in and pulled me off the ground immediately.
"No! Let me go. I don't want to do this. Please just let me go. Tell Constantine I'll find another way to pay off the debts, please."
My pleas fell on deaf ears. They dragged me kicking and screaming till we were back in the casino. Soft music was now playing in the background and I saw people milling around, preparing the casino for the night's rush.
But something else caught my attention.
George.
He looked different from the George that always came to the cafe. He was wearing a brown three piece suit that was tailored to perfection. His hair was slicked back and dark shaded adorned his eyes. He sat in a chair opposite Constantine staring him down while ten heavily armed men stood behind him.
Constantine looked up from the staring contest and saw Jonas had me. He flicked his hand for me to be brought forward.
I stumbled into their midst and George looked at me. I couldn't read the expression on his face due to the dark shades but I could feel him studying me intently. I wanted to run to him but my feet were rooted to the ground and I couldn't move.
"Are you hurt?" He asked.
I shook my head. What the hell is going on and who the hell is he? He exuded power. I've never seen this side of him.
"You parade is over Constantine. I'm taking her with me." George announced then he looked at me.
"Come here." He ordered quietly.
I moved towards him and Jones held me back.
"Unhand her." George spat.
Constantine just scoffed.
"George Martin. You know how these things work. You can't come in here and expect that I hand my property over to you." He said sarcastically.
"Well, she doesn't belong to you and so you're going to tell your men to unhand her and I'm taking her with me." George spat. "I don't have all day to spar with you so let her go to avoid bloodshed. My men won't hesitate."
Upon hearing my words, my men raised their guns and c****d it, readying themselves for my command.
Constantine threw that stupid piece of paper which seemed to hold my fate in his direction. It floated in the air for a while before falling to the ground. One of George's men reached forward and picked it up and handed it to George.
He casually went through it still maintaining his composure.
"This is bullshit." He declared. "Unless you want higher authorities involved, you will let her go."
"I'm afraid I can't do that. She's mine, just as you can see on that agreement." Constantine fired.
George chuckled humorlessly. Then he leaned forward and took off his shades. He exuded power and danger.
"I'm going to call my lawyer to determine the validity and authenticity of this document. But you and I both know that you have some illegal s**t going on here and unless you want the police sniffing all over your ass, you will let her go until the lawyer validates your document."
Constantine rubbed against his lower lip contemplating. His men probably couldn't take George's in a fight and he knew he was at a loss. He flicked his hand for Jones to let me go and I quickly ran to George's side.
George stood up and dusted off his suit.
"I'll have my men contact you soon." He said.
He turned and picked me up from the floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shoulder while he carried me out of the casino and into his car.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.
Tears streaked down my face and I tried to keep them at bay.
"I thought I had it under control. I've been doing my best to pay them off little by little. I didn't know it had gotten to this extent. I didn't know what to do and I had no one to call for help." I cried.
"It's okay, baby. I'm here now. Let's get you fed."
He got in next to me and signaled for his men to drive. We pulled up in front of a fancy restaurant and I was reluctant to go in. I was still dressed in my waitressing uniform. George said he didn't mind. He led me into the restaurant and the ambience of it all blew me away. I've never been in a place like this.
Soon, the waiter arrived to take our orders.
George took the liberty of ordering for me in order to save me some embarrassment. I was grateful for his gesture. The waitress turned to leave and George's eyes tracked his movement. I noticed the longing in his gaze.
"Are you friends with the waiter?" I asked.
George shook his head.
Before long, he returned with our food. I was too hungry to think about anything else and so I dived in instantly. George excused himself to use the bathroom. Heat bloomed in my heart at the thought of how nice he was. He was exactly the kind of man I always wanted. Someone to love and protect me. I had been a fool for rejecting his advances all this while.
I felt pressed too. I hadn't used a bathroom since Constantine plucked me from my home. I didn't see anyone in sight to help me so I just followed the directions on the wall till I got to the restroom.
It felt like my bladder was about to explode. I rushed quickly and opened the door. The sight before me made me gasp and scream in horror.
George had his c**k deep in the waiter's ass. They were f*****g.
