The Career Change Dungeon is notoriously difficult, and there have already been many posts about it on the forums.
However, no one dares to call themselves an expert.
The people around stared at Aurélien in astonishment.
"Wait, are you crazy? You’re trying to make money from the Career Change Dungeon?"
"Empereur des affaires, such a familiar name, I remember you!"
"He’s the #1 on the Pet Rankings, Empereur des affaires!!"
Soon, people started recognizing Aurélien’s identity.
Being ranked first on the Pet Rankings still has its uses.
Aurélien called out, and a weapon screenshot was sent to him.
**[Purple Iron Sword]**
**[Grade: Purple]**
**[Level Requirement: 10]**
**[Attack Power +100]**
**[Poisoning: Normal attacks poison the target, dealing 2 damage per second]**
"Hey, nice weapon! Are you selling it?"
"Didn’t we say we’re supposed to team up for the dungeon?"
Aurélien slapped his forehead, almost forgetting.
"Sorry, old habit!"
He quickly sent out a party invite.
**[Ding, Jiangnan Swordsman requests to join the party, do you accept?]**
"Accept!"
Jiangnan Swordsman looked to be a young man around 20 years old.
When Aurélien saw his name, he froze.
"It’s him!!"
"You know me?"
Jiangnan Swordsman asked, puzzled.
Of course, Aurélien knew him. In the previous life, Jiangnan Swordsman was ranked 5th on the power rankings.
He later switched to the Qing Tian Sword Cultivator class, where he was nearly unbeatable in one-on-one fights.
He also founded Jiangnan Hall, one of the top three guilds in the Great Xia region.
How could Aurélien not recognize such a person?
Without wasting words, Jiangnan Swordsman immediately sent a trade request to Aurélien, offering him 1000 gold coins.
"Talk about a rich guy!"
Aurélien casually remarked, "Aren’t you worried I’ll kick you out?"
Jiangnan Swordsman smiled, "I trust you. You clearly look like a businessman; there’s no need to scam a few gold coins! We might work together again in the future."
"Definitely not! I like your straightforwardness! We’ll team up in the future!"
Aurélien continued to recruit.
It was tough to find people willing to pay for the dungeon run.
After quite a while, the team was finally full.
The last person was called Gongzi Wushuang.
As soon as Gongzi Wushuang joined, he asked,
"Gentlemen, are we really sure you’re experienced? We’re all beginners, and you’re not scamming us, right? What happens if you do? Where do we go to get a refund?"
**[Ding, Gongzi Wushuang has been kicked from the party.]**
Empereur des affaires: "If you don’t trust me, you can leave the party. We’re on a tight schedule! Pay first, then we do the dungeon. I have to be responsible to the other clients!"
No one else said anything and quickly traded Aurélien their money.
Only Gongzi Wushuang kept sending private messages to curse at Aurélien, which Aurélien ignored by blocking him.
"Businessmen like me aren’t afraid of rich people in *Tianxia*."
For rich players, the game experience was all about speed and efficiency—getting things done faster and stronger than others.
No one had time for troublemakers, so it was better to not invite them at all.
Aurélien was selling a service, and he quickly found another teammate.
Once the team was full, Aurélien said, "Alright, everyone, once we enter the dungeon, follow my lead. I promise we’ll finish in one go!"
"Sure!"
"Trust the captain!"
Aurélien immediately headed towards the cave.
**[Ding, you are about to enter the Career Change Dungeon, do you agree?]**
The system sent the notification to each player in the party.
Since everyone had already paid, no one caused any trouble and all accepted.
The next moment, they disappeared into the cave.
When they opened their eyes again,
they found themselves in a pitch-black cavern.
The cave was twisted and gnarled, with tree roots breaking through the ground.
It looked more like a tree hollow.
Drip, drip, the sound of water echoed.
Nearby, monsters roamed—bugs the size of human heads.
**[Cave Tree Bugs]**
**[Untrainable]**
**[Level: 10]**
"Captain, what should we do? Do we just charge in?"
"With our gear, we can probably take them without any issues."
Aurélien grinned, "I’ll make sure you get your money’s worth! Come out, Hundred-Year Zombie!"
As the others looked on in astonishment, the Hundred-Year Zombie emerged from the coffin.
"Is this the #1 pet? It’s so ugly!"
"Damn, I thought it was really cool, so realistic! Can I touch it?"
Aurélien rolled his eyes. "Stick close to me and don’t wander off! Let’s go!"
With that, he began running deeper into the cave, with the Hundred-Year Zombie leading the way.
The monsters were all attracted to the zombie, but Aurélien didn’t let it attack.
Wearing +3 speed boots, the zombie moved faster than most monsters.
None of the monsters could catch up, and they just trailed behind, running alongside the group.
In no time, dozens of bugs were following behind them.
"Captain, you’re leading us into a huge mess, aren’t you?"
"We haven’t even switched classes yet. We don’t have any area-of-effect skills! Is this a good idea?"
"Should we just let the pet die and clear the hate? That could work!"
The others followed Aurélien, not needing to attack, and had some time to chat.
Just then, Jiangnan Swordsman suddenly spoke up,
"Captain, are you selling your pet? I’ll offer 150,000 cash!"
"Wow, a rich guy!"
"Tsk, bro, I think you’re the one getting scammed. Early pets aren’t worth much. 150,000? Are you crazy?"
Aurélien was stunned for a moment, almost losing focus.
Others might not believe it, but he knew Jiangnan Swordsman could afford it.
Unfortunately, the Hundred-Year Zombie wasn’t a pet—it couldn’t be traded.
Aurélien felt like crying. If he could sell it, he would’ve done so already.
But he did have something valuable in his inventory.
Empereur des affaires: "I’ll explain to you later, once we’re out of here!"
Jiangnan Swordsman: "Alright!"
**[Ding, Jiangnan Swordsman has added you as a friend. Do you accept?]**
"Yes!"
As he accepted the friend request, Aurélien continued to lead the monsters through the winding cave.
"Captain, are we going the wrong way? The map says the boss is that way, right?"
"Yeah, you’ve led us into a dead end. If we wipe, you better refund us!"
Two more people voiced their doubts.
Aurélien ignored them and continued running toward a narrow path.
Soon, a large water pit appeared in front of them.
Aurélien’s eyes lit up, and he quickly called out, "Everyone, into the water!"
Despite their doubts, no one caused trouble, and the party members jumped into the water pit.
Aurélien was the last to enter.
As he stepped into the water, he recalled the Hundred-Year Zombie.
All the hate now focused on Aurélien.
Hundreds of wild monsters hovered around the water pit but wouldn’t enter.
"Wait, are they afraid of water? Captain, how did you know?"
"Our breath time is also running out!"
Aside from some professions, players had a limited time they could breathe underwater.
Before their breath ran out, the dungeon monsters finally dispersed and returned to their patrol routes.
"Whoa, that’s amazing, you can actually do that!"
"Yeah, you really are an expert! With all those monsters, it would’ve taken at least an hour to fight them off!"
"Ha ha, Captain, I was wrong about you!"
Aurélien chuckled nonchalantly. "No big deal. The boss’s lair is right up ahead. There are twelve monsters on the way, but we’ll clear them quickly!"
