Stand For Herself

"These all are perfect, Avantika. What to select for you. I am sure you look beautiful in every dress and colour but what to select? I was confused. We will do one thing," she was looking at the three of them with a frown on her face. "Wait here," aunty received a call and went to answer it. I was standing there and started going through those dresses again thinking where to start and how to start my designing. "Oh, see who is here?" I heard the voice and turned back. There my classmates were standing with a smirk on their face. Why are they here? What are they up to?" I sighed looking at them on my bad luck and started my work again, "You have the audacity to ignore us and our words? Fine, let's see what happens," she said. I didn't responded to them because if it's in university Abhi will be with me to support me and to fight back with them. But, right now I came with my aunt. She will kill me if something happens here. "Oh, can you say how a girl like her can come to this type of shop and observe the dress she is wearing," the other girl friend of hers pointed her finger to me. "Maybe she is trying to steal a dress from here. You know it costs one to two million to get the basic price from this store. "Yes, maybe she is trying to sell those dresses out of this store," the other one started selecting the dress.. "I am here with my aunty," I snapped at her. "Oh, is it," they said and a dress caught my attention. I ignored them as I know they are only here for arguing with me and creating a ruckus. Until they achieve it they won't be at peace. "See her attitude," the other girl said and another one smirked. "Fine, let's see how much time she will show her attitude." She took a frock which I am observing and then took a look over it at the price tag. Then she called the helper and said, "I would love to try this dress." The helper nodded her head and then the girl went to the trail room to try it. I don't understand what she was up to. "Can we get some drinks?" The second girl questioned the helper and she nodded her head and went to bring it. Later the girl also started seeing some frock. After a while the first girl came out with the dress in her hands and said, "It was good and I am planning to take it. I need to select some more." The helper came with two glasses of drinks and handed it over to those both. "What do you think of this dress?" Avantika questioned. "It's good and it will suit you. You have a good eye," I looked at the direction of the gate wondering where my aunt went asking me to wait here. She is nowhere to be found so I decided to go and search for her. When I was looking and going from there the first girl stopped me questioning, "Where are you going?" "Wait a moment, I can't find my aunty," I tried to go from there again and this time she pulled me back by holding my hand and I looked at her like asking what you want? I was wriggling to make my hand free from her clutches. "You spoiled this new dress and tried to escape? Do you think I will listen to your blabbering and let you go?" The first girl questioned me. "What? What did I do?" I questioned her. "You didn't do anything. See what you do," she turned her glass upside down and drenched that whole new dress and asked me to hold the glass and shoved that whole glass forcefully into my hand. I stood there not really understanding what's happening there and by the time it hitted me they already called the helper and questioned, "How can you let these types of people inside? Don't you know that this shop is only for us? Only for the people who are rich?" "What happened ma'am?" The helper started looking between both of us. "What happened? See, I selected this dress and she poured a drink on it. The helper looked at me and then at her. "Let me check," the waiter took the frock from her hands and said, "Ma'am, I have already asked you to return to me after you are done with the trial. Why didn't you give it to me?" There was a clear disappointment in her voice as she was checking the frock. "I wanted to buy it, wait, what? What are you saying? Are you trying to say that this dress was spoiled because of me?" The first girl's anger rose up. "No, I didn't mean that," the helper answered politely. "Then what do you mean by saying those words?" The second girl questioned supporting the first girl. "First, it's your mistake to let these type of people into the shop and when I am saying that she spoiled the dress instead of asking her to pay the amount you are putting blame on me?" The first girl questioned the helper and then the helper turned to me and said, "Ma'am, I don't know what happened between you both but, in between you spoiled that dress so I think it will be better if you pay for this." "Why should I pay when l didn't do anything?" I questioned back. As a stranger aunty said I have to stand for myself and have to learn how to be strong. "What you didn't do? Clearly it shows that you have done this? Glass is in your hands," the helper said pointing to the dress. "I didn't do that. If glass is in my hands does that mean I have done this? It's ridiculous," I snapped back at her. "Ma'am please pay for this. Don't argue with me or else I will have to call my manager," the helper said in a pleading voice. "I didn't do this. Why would I pay for the mistake I didn't do? Besides that this dress is with her and in their arms. Then shouldn't you ask them to pay?" I retorted back.
