Dream or nightmare

**Authors POV**

Anna jumped up looking around, her breathing was hard and she could tell she had been crying in her sleep. Anna put her hand over the burn mark she has on her right arm. She had no idea way out of 3 years now she had that dream. She jumped out of bed, having a sicky feeling about today.

After getting dressed in her baby blue Boho Ruffles Vintage sundress that her mother had made her, she looks in the mirror and brushed her hair humming to herself.

"Anna, it's time for your learning." Her mother walks into her room looking around.

"Coming mother." Anna walked up to her mother smiling.

"Anna!" Jack yelled.

Turning around she sees Jack, "What Jack, I have things to do!"

Seeing his smile Anna knew what Jack was going to do. Jack was going to try and outrun Anna to get to the food first. Jack all most being 21 still wants to be the first one to the dining room.

"Not today Jack, am going to be first this time!" Anna yelled running past him.

"STOP RUNNING!" Anna's mother yelled.

Jack ran past Anna and right into the dining room, "Yes, I won!" He turned around looking at Anna. She walks in looking a little sad.

"No you did not Jack, I got here first." They both look and see their father laughing as he sits down with his food.

"I guess that shows you right." Their mother walked in behind them. "Next time, no running." Anna's mother looks at her, "Ladies don't run."

Looking at her mother she nods, "Yes, mother." she told her as she walks past her to make her sit to start eating.

"Everyone please let's sit and eat, we have a lot to do today." Anna's father said.

After Anna was done eating, she looked around at her family. Her eyes stop at her father, he was not smiling, he was not talking. He has not had much to eat.

"Father, are you ok? You're not eating." She asked.

The King looked up at Anna and nodded.

She did not like that answer. "Father, what is wrong? I can see it all over your face."

The King looked over at his wife, and then back at Anna, "Anna,-" The Queen cut him off.

"Anna, You need to go get started on your reading, if you're not eating go on now." Her mother told her.

Nodded and got up, and started for the door,

"Liz, we are going to have to tell her today." Anna heard the King say

"I know my love." is all her mother said back.

Anna was sitting in the rose garden trying to read the book her mother told her to read for the day, After she got done with the book she had to do her piano class.

Anna's mother had her doing a lot in a day, first reading, then piano, and after that painting. It was a never-ending, "A lady with many talents can please any man's heart"

She even had me cook 4 times a week.

Anna looked out at the village, 5 more days. All she had to do is wait 5 more days and Anna would be free, free to walk out of the kingdom and be free. That's all Anna wanted. All she wanted was to do what her heart wanted her to do.

It's been all most 3 years since the fire had destroyed the Kingdom, she thought as she was sitting in the rose garden, trying to read the book her mother told her to read for the day. Every house and the fields were destroyed that day, and about 100 people died. Mostly the elderly that could not run that fast had died in the fire. Anna couldn't read her book today, she was a little too happy because her birthday was in 5 days.

"Not much longer Anna." She told herself. Not much longer and Anna could go anywhere she wanted to go.

Unlike Jack. Jack was the older one out of the two. Jack and Anna were only 3 years apart. And Jack being older than Anna, had to start learning how to be King one day. Lucky for Jack started years before their father really wanted him to start. But Jack loves to learn. So, lucky for Jack he could take over and he know what needs to be done. Sometimes father and mother would go to Jack for their help.

Looking out at the village the fire did more damage than anyone thought. But we did have winter not long after the fire and we had to ask for help from other kingdoms to get food. We lost a lot of people that winter because of no food.

Anna looked over seeing Jack walk up to her. He did not look all too happy today. Anna had hoped everything was ok.

"Anna, mother and father need to talk to you, in father's office." Anna gave a little confused look but got up and nodded.

After Jack and Anna got to the office, Anna could hear her mother crying.

"Mother, are you ok?"

Her mother nodded her head, "Anna please take a set. Your father and I need to talk to you about something."

Anna nodded looking at the both of them.

The queen started off, "Do you remember the fire we had 3 years ago?"

Anna nodded.

"Do you remember we had to ask for help from others that year?"

Again Anna nodded.

"King and Queen Black has a son that has come of age, to get married."

Again all Anna did was nod, why were they telling Anna this, so what that he has come of age to get married. Good for him Anna though.

"He is getting married in 5 days." her mother told her.

"Oh, that's good. Are we invited to the wedding?" Anna asks, still looking at both of them.

Anna's mother was crying again, "We are invited to the wedding,-" Anna's mother started but Jack cut her off.

"Just tell her mother, stop doing this and just tell her," Jack yelled. Jack never yelled at their mother or father before.

Anna looks behind her and can see Jack so mad that he was walking around the room.

"Anna in 5 days you're getting married to Prince Jason." her father told her.

Annas' eyes cut over to him, not knowing what to say.
