Alexander and David walked through the deserted streets, their footsteps echoing in the stillness of the night. Alexander found himself drawn to David's captivating personality and good looks, his curiosity piqued by the mysterious aura that surrounded him. He wanted to know more about this young man, to unravel the secrets that he knew lay hidden beneath the surface.
As they walked, Alexander could sense David's eyes on him, studying him with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. He knew that he was different, that his very presence could unsettle even the most stoic of individuals. But there was something about David that made Alexander feel different too, something that he couldn't quite put his finger on.
"So, what do you do for a living?" David asked, breaking the silence.
Alexander hesitated for just a moment, considering his response. He knew that he had to be careful, that revealing too much too soon could be dangerous. But there was something about David's earnestness that made him want to open up.
"I...I don't really have a job," Alexander said, his voice hesitant. "I guess you could say that I'm a bit of a wanderer."
David nodded, his eyes scanning Alexander's face. He could sense that there was more to the story, that there was something that Alexander wasn't telling him. But for some reason, he didn't press the issue.
"I see," David said, his tone neutral. "So, what do you like to do for fun?"
Alexander smiled, feeling a sudden surge of affection for the young man walking beside him. He had forgotten what it was like to have someone take an interest in him, to genuinely want to know more about him.
"I enjoy...reading," Alexander said, his voice trailing off. "And exploring the city, of course."
David smiled, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "Oh, I love exploring the city too!" he exclaimed. "There's so much to see and do here. Have you been to the art museum? Or the botanical gardens?"
Alexander shook his head, feeling a sudden rush of embarrassment. He had spent so many centuries cooped up in his own world that he had forgotten what it was like to experience the simple joys of life.
"No, I haven't," he said. "But...maybe you could show me sometime?"
David's face lit up with excitement, and Alexander felt a surge of joy that he couldn't quite explain. There was something about this young man that made him feel alive again, that reminded him of the passion and wonder that he had felt during his own human years.
As they continued walking, Alexander could sense that David was getting more comfortable around him, that he was starting to let his guard down. He knew that this was his chance, that he had to reveal his true identity before it was too late.
But at the same time, he hesitated. He didn't want to scare David off, to reveal too much too soon. He wanted to savor this moment, to bask in the warmth of David's company without worrying about the consequences.
And so, they continued walking, two strangers drawn together by an inexplicable attraction, each with their own secrets and desires, each wondering what the future held.
