Chapter Three

After waiting for so long finally the boss entered the conference room looking very fierce now causing even more fear to the employees. Yes it was normal for everyone to see their boss with an annoyed face but this time it was not like the usual.

"Good morning", he said in a calm tone

" Good morning to you Sir", everyone responded.

"I know you all want to know why I have hosted this meeting, my agenda is simply something that is simple for everyone and that is something to do with the hotel project funds so let's go directly to the discussion, first can you all provide me the department documents", he whispered in anger.

Everyone was providing the department document but his main interest was on the financial department's document. He wanted to know the individuals found in that sector.

" Wow, I can tell that you are all comfortable with your positions wow!", he said just for fun.

"Why do you say that Sir", one of the members asked.

" Who are you to question what I think huh", he responded furiously.

The member decided to not respond and kept quiet.

Hunter after receiving all the documents, got up from his comfortable chair and shouted "Who among you stupid human beings has being stealing the funds for the hotel project".

Trembling in fear everyone didn't understand what he was meaning so no one responded instead they were all looking at him with shock in their eyes.

"It seems like you all didn't get me,I will repeat myself, who among you has being stealing money from my company?", he asked once more.

Dave the leader of the financial department decided to spoke up,"Sir that is not possible I have been observing every transaction done".

" Are you sure about that huh?", he said with bitterness in his tone.

"Yes sir", he responded.

Looking at the board where he had projected the financial statements for both the previous and ongoing month, he said in anger,"I want you to tell me why this two transactions where done without my consent and what the money was used for? right now and if you don't have answers the decision I will make will destroy a lot of your lives".

"Sir I haven't allowed any illegal transactions so am also confused", dave answered in fear.

" Then what gave you the guts to answer me? , you thought I had no proof", he asked.

Everyone amazed kept asking each other to who can do that but no one was able to come up with any person who is capable of commit something as big as that.

"Will you give me the answer I need or what?, you are now getting on my nerves so I will make a decision that will cost each one of you", he said aggressively.

" Wait , sir why don't you maybe involve the police before making a decision", Grace proposed.

"Grace, Grace you seem to have power nowadays to decide what I should do or not,I will allow each one of you to investigate each other and that's because each one of you will get the punishment for that one person and that punishment is that you will all work for seven months without any payments, have spoken".

After making that decision, he walked out of the office in a fit of rage smashing the door behind him causing it to make noise.

Catherine who was in the human resources department started talking," why would he make such a decision ,what wrong did we do to him, some of us our families depend on us, I think we should all resign".

"That's a great idea, let's go ",responded one of the members.

Grace knowing that their boss doesn't enjoy going against his words thought of warning them, " Guys what you are planning will only bring more problems then a solution so let's just obey his decision".

"We all know that you are our boss's puppet so we don't need your advise you better keep quiet", Catherine responded.

Grace just kept quiet and left the conference room.

Hunter got back into his office upset and started throwing everything on the ground causing everything to break. He then got himself a cup of wine before he could even drink it, a knock was made on his door and he just kept quiet didn't even respond to it.

The fierce people who were planning to resign where standing on the door waiting to be answered, it was 5 minutes and no respond was heard so Catherine made a decision to go inside because she was not going to wait for their boss to open.

Catherine entered and started talking to hunter who was upset and holding a glass of wine," Sir, whatever decision you made in there was not right you were suppose to hear our decisions not you just saying that, some of us have families who department on us so how will we feed them?".

Hunter quiet lost his temper and smashed the cup in his hands, by forming a fist with all is strength and broke it causing a deep cut on his hand. With blood coming out of his hands turned around and pushed Catherine out of his office.

After coming out of is office by pushing Catherine he shouted at everyone saying" are you mad or something, listen and listen very carefully if you ever even thinking of resigning from my company I will make sure you will suffer and that you will spend most of you time in jail, hope am understood".

He walked out with his hand still bleeding and got into his car to go home.

Willow received a call from the driver that the boss was on his way so they had to start cleaning everything.

"Aurora prepare lunch the boss is on his way , please be fast", willow ordered.

Aurora responded, " have already done that "

"Great have you already set the table and prepared the food on the table", she asked.

" Yes madam", she responded.

"Then quickly let's go and prepare his bath and clean the room".

" Okay, madam", she responded.

They both climbed the stairs and went to his room and started doing the cleaning and even prepared his bath.

Immediately after they were done their went downstairs before they could get down the last stair, hunter entered and shouted,"Willow!".

Willow being near responded quickly," yes sir".

"Prepare my bath ", he ordered.

" Sir it is already prepared".

Aurora from a distance realized that hunter's hand was bleeding and because she was worried, she came running," Sir your hand is bleeding let me help you with that". And she immediately hold his hand so that she can see the wound.

Hunter hating being sympathised pushed Aurora causing her to hurt her hand.

"How deal you touch me , who told you I needed your help,I can manage it myself ", he shouted.

Realizing that Aurora hurt her hand ,he thought the pain of seen her in that condition, to avoid his feelings to be seen he walked away and went upstairs.

" Aurora are you okay?, have told you to always keep a distance from our boss but you don't understand see what has happened now", willow said worried for her.

"Am fine ,don't worry I just hurt my hand a little though our boss needs our help", she said worried about hunter.

" Stop talking about helping him, he won't allow you", responded Willow.

"Even if he is upset, he needs our help so I won't stop until I help him", Aurora said with worry for her boss.

Upstairs hunter was finding it hard to do anything with the wound he had so he failed to go and take his shower, he sat down wondering what he will do.

Downstairs Aurora finally made a decision and started going upstairs in a rush forgetting even her hand had a problem.

" Why doesn't she understand that she is getting herself in trouble", willow mumbled.

Aurora reaching the room, knocked at the door.

"Come in ", hunter responded.

Aurora got into the room scared and worried but knowing that her boss couldn't manage on his own as she believed that, she had no choice but to be strong and fight with her boss.

" What do you want here ?",he asked.

"Am here to help dress your wound", she responded with confidence.

" I remember telling you that am not weak and that I can manage on my own, what do you want huh?", he questioned her with anger in his eyes.

"I know that,that's why I believe you need help so say whatever you want sir I won't leave until I can treat your wound", she responded in a smooth tone.

" You seem not to understand, do you?, so let me teach a lesson".

Getting up from his chair so that he can push her out , he felt pain in his hands and screamed just like a little baby who has being stopped from breastfeeding and then fell on the floor.

Aurora ran from where she was standing got the first aid kit and started to clean the wound.

"What is your problem can't you just allow someone to help you huh', Aurora asked while cleaning the wound.

Hunter furious that he allowed Aurora to hold is hands kept quiet and said no word instead he was just looking at Aurora causing his feelings to increase even more.

" See it was as simple as that after all, am done now, go and take your shower, sorry for going against your orders but it was necessary for me to do so please forgive me", said Aurora

Hunter's heart started melting from Aurora's kindness and he was losing his arrogant self slowly and because he was lost in thoughts no response came from him.

"Am leaving, if you need anything you will let me know", she said while organising the first aid kit.

She finished organising and left. Leaving hunter speechless with nothing to say but his heart beat seemed to have something to say as it was beating at a very high rate like someone who his being chased by a dog. His feelings just got strong after what Aurora just did.

Aurora getting downstairs, so that she can clean up everything with blood stains met Willow who was waiting for her to come down.

" What were you thinking huh?, I just pray you haven't made our boss loss his temper because if you make such a mistake even I will get fired", signed Willow.

"Don't worry, everything is fine, he allowed me to clean is wound ", She answered.

Willow surprised said," What did you just say, our own boss allowed you to touch him how come, he doesn't allow anyone to touch him".

"It nothing to think about, just offered my help that's it", she responded with a smile on her face.

" I just can't believe this, how possible is it?", willow asked in the state of shock.

"You just have to, let me clean up this stained clothes before he comes downstairs ", said Aurora.

Willow was confused didn't understand what just happened with the boss because his soft side doesn't come out usually.

" I don't understand why sir could just allow her to help him, Is something happening to him", Willow speculated.

Aurora was in the servant bathroom washing the stained clothes when she heard hunter call out.

"Aurora! Aurora!", he called out.

Aurora hearing her boss and worried for him , left everything she was doing to go and attend to him. She ran upstairs without caring whether she falls or not because to her attending to hunter was more important. She reached the room in less than 50 seconds and pushed the door in panic without knocking.

" Yes sir , you requested for me", she said taking a deep breath as she was tired from running upstairs.

"Are you okay or what?, can't you knock, what if I was not fully dressed?", he said annoyed to her doing that.

" Sorry sir when you called me I thought it was an emergency like something happened to you", Aurora replied calmly.

"Fine, is my lunch prepared", he asked smoothly.

" Yes sir, it has already been prepared", she responded.

"That's the only thing I wanted to find out", he said.

" Okay sir, may I leave?", she asked.

"Yes you are allowed to leave", he said in a calm tone.

Aurora turned around so that she can go and to her surprise hunter stopped her by gripping her hand, she turned back and hunter was looking direct into her eyes which ended up making Aurora feel something unusual. Aurora confused removed her hands from her boss.

" Sorry for stopping you like that but I forgot one thing, it will just be appropriate for me to say thank you for the help you rendered to me", he said in a sweet and calm tone.

Aurora felt her heart melting when she heard him say that and she just became mute because it was something shocking for a man who hates almost everyone to be grateful to someone and hunter observing that she was quiet decided to say something.

"Hey, is everything alright", he said.

Aurora back in her sense responded," yes sir, no need to thank me I was just doing my job".

With that said she quickly ran to the servant bathing to finish her washing but because of the incident that just took place she was unable to concentrate on doing that.

Back upstairs, hunter was lost in thought thinking about Aurora and trying to understand why his been like that. Suddenly, he received a phone call from his mother and picked it up.

"My son how are you doing", his mother greet him.

He now got back into his arrogant self.

"It has now became a habit to be calling me, what do you want old lady?", he responded fiercely.

" My boy I will always remind you that you have a mother that loves you", she responded in tears.

"I wonder what even gives you the guts to even call me to tell me such nonsense when you are fully aware of the fact that I don't care not even a little bit", he said rudely.

" Son when will you ever look at me as your mother, please try even once to just consider me that, please".

"The problem with you is that you get your hopes up, you will never understand that I will not allow you to be a mother to me, get that in your head and you will stop calling me unnecessary ", he aggressively said.

" Son I will not call myself a mother if I don't worry about you", the mother said while breaking down in tears.

"Somehow, I feel pity for you because you worry about the wrong person, I don't want to blacklist you so stop calling unnecessary", he whispered.

Before the conversation between them could end, Aurora from the bathroom screamed making everyone terrified. That made hunter to cut his call and run downstairs where he found willow looking at Aurora's hand which was now swollen due to the washing.,

Hunter seen that was worried and because Aurora was on the floor , he lifted her up while shouting at Willow," call the doctor immediately".

He placed Aurora on a sit in the living room and started question her.

"What happened to your hand answer me".

Aurora failed to say that he was the reason after pushing her that's when she got injured, she kept quiet just looking at him.

" I just asked you something why are you not answering", he asked fiercely.

He started losing his cool when he realized she wasn't saying a word. Then Willow from behind answered the question.

"Sir you are the reason she is like that when you pushed her this morning she fell down and hurt her hand, she refused to treat her because she was worried about your hand which was bleeding".

" What?", he asked looking disturbed.

"Yes sir, to my surprise you were her top priority, I tried convincing her but it was of no use, she was just to worried about you", she siad.

Hunter's heart again started beating fast like never before and was quiet looking at Aurora with worry and some much emotions.

" If you knew that you were not okay why did you have to come attend to me, I would have managed on my own now look at your hand it swollen", he said expressively.

Everyone standing there was confused with what is taking place because Hunter the man who doesn't care what he does looked worried and scared for Aurora who means nothing to him.

"Why would you risk your own health tell me, why?", he asked showing his weak side.

Aurora was just quiet not able to give him answers, she was just looking at him because she still had a picture of him grabbing her hand and the care he was just showing brought questions in her head.

Hunter suddenly, lost his cool and raised his voice, " can you please answer my questions now".

Aurora terrified spoke up,"sorry sir I didn't think the situation will get this worse, I thought it was a small injury and when I saw how deep your wound was I got worried about you that's why I cared less about myself".

"Did I not tell you not to worry about me now what happened", he asked in a violent tone.

" Even if you said that I still thought you need help to clean the wound and also bandage it, I knew my wound wasn't that serious", she replied in fear.

Before hunter would say a word the doctor arrived.

"Morning Mr hunter, how are you doing?, you requested for my presence", the doctor said.

" Yes doc, she has a swollen hand due to some fall she hurt herself, can you please attend to her", hunter replied.

"Let me see your hand young lady", Doctor said to Aurora.

Aurora gave the doctor her hand so that she can be examined.

The doctor observed and came up with a conclusion," there is nothing wrong with her hand all she needs, is a strong massaging of her hand with some medical cream".

"Are you sure that she will just be fine", he asked in fear.

" Yes sir don't worry", the doctor said.

The treatment was done and the doctor was about to leave when Aurora said something,'before you go ,please check his bandaged hand as well".

"What?", hunter said looking fierce.

" Let me see your hand sir", the doctor said.

"I don't remember calling you for your help and if you don't leave now I will get your certificate as a doctor terminated", he said threatening the doctor.

" Sorry Sir, I will leave now", the doctor said and left.

"Give me the cream, let me apply it on her and Willow warm my lunch I think am now getting hungry", he said.

" Okay sir", she replied.

Hunter was applying and rubbering the cream on Aurora and because of the pain she would scream a bit.

"Don't worry, I will soon be done, just be strong", hunter said in a calm tone while giving a cute smile.

Aurora was slowly melting like a cold ice block placed under the hot sun and she constantly kept asking herself, if what was happening now was real or just her imagination.

After some minutes hunter was done treating her hand and immediately willow was back," am done sir", she said.

"Alright, Aurora come you have lunch with me ", he ordered in a sweet tone.

"Huh?, me sir are you sure?", she asked.

" How many Auroras do we have here, you of course, you will find me on the dinner table", he said.

Aurora got up and sat on the left side to hunter and Willow began to save them dinner, after she finished she left in anger and disbelief that her boss would choose to eat with Aurora than her who has being working there for years.

When they started eating Aurora screamed as she experienced a sharp pain in her hand.

"What's wrong", hunter asked.

" Nothing serious", she responded.

Hunter getting out of his chair started raising his voice because Aurora seemed to not worry about her condition.

"You know what, you need to start taking care of yourself, what will I do if I allow something to happen to you, I can't bear to see you in pain", he said.

His emotions were getting the best of him and it seems like he will now confess what he feels without understanding what he really feels.
