The revelation
It was morning already, quietness filled the air. It was like a regular day in mystic heights but it was actually in the woods. Jace walked up to the room he had shown Luna and Althea to spend a night. He could hear them fast asleep. He knocked on the door, making them jerk awake but not fully.
“Who’s thereeee? oh jeez it’s morning already.”
Luna said yawning while rubbing her eyes. She walked up to the door and opening it slowly, looking Jace in the eyes.
“Morning princess, looks like you had a good night, get your ass up this isn’t your fathers house, so make yourself useful, also tell your friend the same thing”.
“Hi, okay, good morning. You could be nice at least and I didn’t get a chance to say thank you for saving us from your friends back in the woods”.
He stared at her for a while before turning to leave.
“You could say I’m welcome or something, you know that right? “
Althea and Luna freshened up and walked to the living room of the cabin, it was literally empty , seemed like the whole pack was outside. They walked out of the cabin, there they were. The pack, they were about 14 of them both male and female.
“Here, come sit with us “
Jace said waving at them to head towards the pack’s direction. They all sat by a fire roasting marshmallows, each with a stick in their right hand.
Luna and Althea sat with them and Jace introduced each member of the pack to them. Including the two others that tried to kill them last night.
After the whole introduction there was a brief moment of silence before Luna finally broke it with her series of questions.
“So tell me about this whole werewolf thing, how does it work? “
“You’re actually more of a talkative for a newbie but I’ll bite. When you killed someone, your curse is activated. Most of us here were all involved in a crash and that’s how we all got activated”
“What if it wasn’t intentional? I mean, killing someone”
“It doesn’t have to be. We got a sign that there was a new member of our pack. Currently there’s no alpha but I’m in charge hoping that destiny and fate would lead us to an alpha”
“The dream I had, how did that happen?”
“That, only one of us has the ability to do that. It was me, that was the only way I could find you and direct you here”
“Oh wow! So what do others have? Laser eyes?”
“Super speed, super strength, heightened sense of smell and hearing”
“That’s how I could hear the conversations at the hospital, so how do I turn, into this gigantic wolf?”
“Last night was a full moon as well as the night you turned. So I guess you would have to wait till another full moon to turn but it doesn’t stop you from having super strength and speed. I could show you around later ,Luna”
“I know this may sound crazy but do you know anything about my biological parents and how did werewolves get to exist? Is there a history or something?”
“We do have a history, that’s something for another day but for now you need to know how to turn, I bet your fangs have began to grow which is a good sign. We also need to know if you’re a crescent wolf like me or a moon shade like others in this pack”.
They all sat by the fire before Althea broke the silence.
“ Is there somehow I can reach my parents? I mean, I’m no werewolf , I’m only here because of my best friend and there happens to be no signal since we fell of the cliff”
“We don’t need cell phones here, so better put that away”
One of the werewolves, Nik said while gobbling down a huge size of roasted marshmallows.
The night drew nigh, Jace had offered to show Luna round while Althea sat back in the cabin.
