VALENTINO KAIRO
Wiping the sweat from my head, I tossed my tattered red boxing gloves onto the bench and picked up a towel I brought down with me. I checked the time and grunted, realizing I was late to the shithole known as high school. If it was up to me then I would drop out, but certain rules came with living by yourself and getting a job, cue the eye-roll.
I left the small gym, which is only ever used by me, seeming as if everyone else in this apartment block is lazy and negligent to their health, (old rich fuckers), and took the stairs to my apartment taking my sweet time, why would I rush...for school? Exactly. No, I didn't live in a penthouse. In fact, quite the opposite. I lived in a suitable size studio apartment. Not that I can't afford to live in something more luxurious but let's be real, I'm not going to live in a f*****g giant apartment if I'm the only one doing so. It's pathetic and a waste of money.
Reaching my apartment door, I pulled out my silver key chain and slowly unlocked it, not wanting to scare what was going on the other side. And that exact thing attempted to pin me to the floor the moment I stepped in, he may be a big dog but we both know I'd win the fight. Luther, my dog, is a 105 Doberman dog capable of scaring the s**t out of anyone despite being a complete baby around me.
Patting the dog on the head a couple of times, I chucked a couple of dog biscuits in his metal bowl and made a beeline for the shower, no longer able to stand the feeling of sweat.

The first lesson, AP History (f**k knows how I got into that), was completely s**t, then again, which one isn't? Deciding to skip the next period, quickly sent Enzo a text, telling him to head straight to the second lesson without me whilst I went to the out of use classrooms in the languages block. I didn't know anyone was following me until I turned around and saw a small body shaking.
The body, which was no taller than 5'2, slowly looked up. My breath hitched when I saw the most captivating blue eyes I'd ever seen. This girl was breathtaking. Full pink lips, a defined button nose, strong cheekbones, jawline, luscious locks of brown hair. And her body...the denim jeans she was wearing definitely did something. She was curvy, with adorable little thick thighs.
"Ummm, hello, mister, you're tall and super pretty!" Her angelic voice...complimented, I think, without an ounce of embarrassment. Not that she should, it's somewhat pleasing to know she speaks her thoughts and doesn't filter herself. "Pretty? Never heard that one before," honestly, I really haven't. Not even close. "What's your name?"
Taking no notice of my question, which slightly agitated me, she searched something through her mini backpack for God knows what. I lightly lifted her chin up, desperate to know her name, and not even a second later, she giggled, "Oh, I'm Dolly Rose Carter, and I'm new here," of course, an innocent thing like herself has a name like that. "Here! Have this lemon sweet it will help your sore throat." Sore throat? I looked down to see a yellow candy in her small palm.
I took the candy and plopped it into my mouth, not wanting to upset or confuse her in any way. When I ate the soother, she zoned out, looking confused, and concerned, at her thoughts. I was too busy admiring her to see that she had already waved goodbye and started to skip out of the classroom.

If I said I wasn't looking for a certain tiny brunette all day then I'll be lying. I think Enzo must have sensed I was looking for someone too. Especially since I attended every lesson and even went to the cafeteria. I never do either of them. "Bro, you've been on edge all day. What's going on?" He asked, his mouth full of macaroni cheese. For a 19-year-old, he is pretty damn stupid. Physically and mentally, no wonder why we both had to repeat a year, nah that's down to skipping school all the time in junior year and senior year. Why stay another year? We may be s**t at attendance, but we both actually want to graduate, surprisingly.
"Nothing, I've just had an odd morning," I admitted. Wanting to change the subject, I remembered one of my shower thoughts, "I was thinking, and I decided I want another tattoo. Can you do it? This afternoon if possible." "Of course, meet at the shop at 5 pm?" I knew he would agree, art is his passion, and there's no one else better to give me a tattoo than my own friend. The lunch bell rang, signaling it was time for the next lesson, and on my way to biology, my eyes were blessed to see Dolly walking through the halls, head down and humming a tone. God, what is wrong with me?

Thank f**k school is over. One more minute and I would have gone crazy. Pushing everyone out of my way, I headed straight to my care, desperate to just get home and busy myself until 5 pm. But of course, luck isn't on my side as I felt a heavy impact on my shoe. Flaring down at what, or rather who, stopped me, I saw two jocks (most likely sophomores) play fighting. The one on top looked up, stuttered pathetically, and ran off with the other one not far behind. p*****s. If you're wondering why they're scared of me, well, I couldn't answer you. Just because I've been in one too many fights, people believe I'm in a gang, or some say I'm a mafia king. What bullshit is that?
I eventually managed to get into my car and head home but was surprised to see Dolly on the floor beside the road, way too close to the edge for my liking. So without a second thought, I pulled over. "Oh, hello again," she greeted with a stunning smile. I didn't realize it was raining until I saw her hair a tad wilder than earlier and dark splodges scattered on her shirt. "Come on, let me take you home. What are you doing put in this weather?"
Shaking her head frantically, she replied, "I was walking home. What's your name? I can't get into a car with a stranger. Axel said that's a big no-no." Who the f**k is Axel? "My name's Valentino." She made her way to get into the car, but she began opening the back door. Why would she go to the back? Without thinking, I gently picked her up and took her around to the front of the car, teasing her just a little. But come on, I'd do anything to see her tan cheeks turn crimson. It's f*****g adorable.
We made small talk, mainly because I wanted to listen to her angelic voice, but I quickly remembered that I don't know where she lives, so when I asked her, she told me the park. Ok? I wanted to drop her all the way home, but it's not like I could beg her to let me do so. At least the rain had stopped, though. I glanced at her; I saw her blush and looked out the window, pretending to be interested in the scenery, which was rundown factories and muddy fields. I cast my eyes down and was shocked to see her knees were all bloody. f**k. When did she do that?
Swiftly pulling over, I unbuckled both of us, gently placed her small legs onto my lap, and pulled my first aid kit from beneath the backseat. She must've injured herself quite often if she was proud of herself for not shredding tears this time. And honestly, I was too. I was astonished when she called me pretty.
This girl has some strange compliments.
