"Baby girl, don't cry, understand that I try
The only hope that I hold in my gangster life
I hold you dear to my heart though I'm out in the night"
✿
Natalia's POV :
".... she just fainted when I pressed the gun on her skull. What can I do about that?"
"Shut up, Victor! Wake her up quickly!"
I heard two men blabbering beside me. I thought I was still in my stupid dreams.
"What the hell, Ellerie! Again you splashed water on me! I swear I'll send your remote-controlled car to those awful cockroaches this time!" I shouted and rubbed my eyes.
But I heard two men laugh instead of Ellerie. I abruptly opened my eyes and went back to reality. I gasped as I saw those two men standing in front of me and smirking at me. I looked around and realized I was still in the cab and Ellerie was sleeping beside me.
"Look, who's awake." Black shirt chuckled.
"You thought you could fool us, wh*r*?" the White shirt growled.
He harshly grabbed me by my arm and pulled me out of the car. I hissed in pain and struggled to get out of his hold.
"F*ck you *ssh*l*!" I hissed and punched his chest.
"Don't you dare, puttana." He grabbed my wrists with other hand. (Italian - wh*r*)
"Leave her, John." Black shirt uttered.
"Take her away in front of my eyes, Victor." John released his hold from my arm.
There was an abandoned warehouse standing inside the dense woods. It looked like a haunted warehouse which I saw in horror movies. I looked around but saw only giant trees after trees.
"Please let us go! I didn't do anything! My baby brother is innocent, let him go!" I cried.
"We won't harm you unless you try to run. Just cooperate, you and your brother will be fine," Victor said in a serious tone.
He grabbed my wrist and yanked me into the warehouse with him. The inside of the building was filled with different kinds of crate, workout equipment and horrible-looking tattooed men.
We started walking among them. They were watching me up and down shamelessly and smirking. Some started whispering something to others while some gave me the nastiest glare. I quickly looked down and started walking fast.
Victor dragged me in the basement and opened a black wooden door. The large room was dimly lit and full of crates. He shoved me inside and without uttering a word, he shut the door and locked it from behind, leaving me all alone in this large room.
"Hey! Open the door! Let me go to my brother! Don't do anything to him! Please! He's innocent!" I shouted and kicked the door loudly.
I turned around, panic-stricken and looked around but saw only crate piles. Most of the part of the room was dark as there was only one small light hanging in the middle of the room. I sniffed and wiped my cheeks with my palms.
"I've heard that you were so tough, and you made my men run like some f*ck*ng dogs. Interesting."
A sweet melodious but cold shivering tone with a thick foreign accent came from somewhere in the room.
I spun and looked around but saw no one due to the nebulous beam. I heard him chuckling in amusement.
I looked around more intently and my eyes met a shadow, standing in a corner, leaning against the wall.
He slowly walked toward me as I stepped back naturally. My heart skipped a beat. A cold shiver ran down my spine as I met a pair of familiar mesmerizing ocean blue eyes. It was the same man from the Cimitero club, whom I had seen two days ago.
He kept walking slowly as his eyes remained on my face, on my eyes. I kept stepping back until my back pressed against a crate's pile. My heart was pounding hard inside my ribcage.
He stopped just one step away from me as his intimidating tall frame was towering over me. A few tattoos were visible on his neck and left arm. I couldn't understand them as they were all symbols and a few words written in a different language. His eyes descended on my body and studied my every feature shamelessly while his eyes were glistening with pure lust and desire.
Caging me with both of his hands, he leaned forward and took a deep inhale as his nose brushed my skin. His sweet, strong cologne hit my nostrils. I was trembling badly in fear, but something felt familiar, his presence, it felt familiar.
"Everything of you is a non-existing dangerous drug, Natalia. And I'm addicted to it." He whispered in my ear.
He brushed his nose on my neck and then my hair like he was smelling my body and my hair. I stopped breathing and started wiggling. I pressed my hand on his warm chest as his muscles tensed under my touch.
"H—how do you know my name? "Why am I here?" My voice came out as a mere whisper.
"I couldn't stop thinking about you from the moment I laid my eyes on you. F*ck, you looked so f*ck*ng s*xy in that outfit," He said in a husky tone.
He pressed his body on mine, his hands fell on my waist and grabbed it so tightly that I could tell it would leave a mark.
"You know you looked more s*xy in that pink nightgown." He gave me a sinister smirk.
Then it hit me. It was him. He was in my room that night and touched my intimate parts when I was sleeping.
"It was you? H-how? Oh my god! Why? Why were you in my room?" Tears started threatening in my eyes.
What if he had done more bad things to me? I couldn't even clearly remember everything. I thought it was a meaningless stupid dream.
"Shh.. Be ready at 10 tonight. I'll pick you up," he said in a husky tone.
"What?" I was confused. "I don't like to repeat, baby girl. Be. Ready. At. 10. Tonight." His dangerous voice echoed throughout the large room.
"Wait. What do you mean by that? Why should I be ready at 10?" I frowned.
"I'll take you with me — forever." He smirked and trailed his hand down my cleavage.
"What?! Are you insane?! I'm not going anywhere with you! Who are you to order me?! You f*ck*ng *ssh*l*!!" I shouted and pushed him back as my blood started boiling in rage.
He was in my bedroom touching my intimate parts and taking advantage of me while I was sleeping, and then he was ordering me to be ready at 10 tonight like he's some king.
"Wrong move, ragazza." He said as calmly as possible, but his eyes were blazing with anger. (Italian - girl)
"John!" He looked at the door and yelled.
A few moments later, the door brushed open and John entered the room with a crying, sobbing Ellerie. A sharp knife was pressed on his throat.
I widened my eyes and started running toward Ell. But he painfully grabbed my hair and pulled me closer, making me whimper in pain.
"NO! Let him go! Please!" I screamed.
"If you raise your voice at me again, I'll sl*t your brother's throat in front of you. Got it?" He said through gritted teeth.
He squeezed my neck roughly. Both of my hands immediately clutched into his tight grip to release myself as I struggled to breathe.
"I — I won't raise my voice at you. I s-swear I won't. Just don't do anything to him. Please—" I choked and cried out.
He released me and I met the floor with a loud thud. John also released Ellerie. He ran toward me and hugged me tightly.
"Talia, I want to go home. They're all bad people. I want to go to mom and dad," Ellerie sobbed and cried, dipping his face in the crook of my neck.
"Shhh, don't cry, baby. Everything's alright." I hugged him tightly.
"Now get out of this place and pack your stuff. And, of course, don't try to be smart. Don't try to hide from me, Natalia. I will find you out even if you hide inside the subterranean region or outside the earth."
"And if you involve cops in this matter, Natalia, I'll f*ck*ng cut your every family member's throat in front of you. And your baby brother will be the first one. Even cops won't be able to save them from me," he warned in a cold tone.
"I won't." I sobbed.
John smirked and led us outside, then drove us back home. I couldn't digest anything that just happened to me.
I was so freaking scared and trembling badly. Luckily, it was 4 pm, so mom and granny hadn't reached home yet. I couldn't believe that many things happened so fast in those few hours. I placed Ellerie on the couch and kissed his cheeks.
"Ell, just forget about everything. It was a prank you know, they were trying to make fun of us. Don't tell mom or dad or granny anything. I will buy you lots of chocolates and ice creams. Okay?"
"Really? Was it a prank?"
"Yes. It was a prank. They actually make fun of others. And it's their job."
"And you'll buy me lots of chocolates and ice creams?! YAY!! OK, I won't tell anyone. Smiled.
"Now forget about everything and watch Oggy & the Cockroaches." I smiled widely.
I also checked his neck but there was no mark. I sighed in relief and quickly went upstairs. I checked myself but found a deep red bruise lying on my neck. I took a shower then went to the kitchen to make dinner.
Luckily, John gave me my groceries and other stuff back so my parents wouldn't suspect me.
One hour later, the doorbell rang that made me flinch in fear. I slowly walked to the door and heard mom's voice. I sighed in relief and opened the door.
"Mom, where is granny?" I asked when my mother entered in alone.
"Her sugar level is very low. And she's not in a good condition, so the doctor has suggested admitting her to the hospital tonight."
"But she looked fine. How did it happen?" I gasped.
"She hid her problems from us so that we didn't worry about her," Mom sighed.
"Don't worry. She can come back home one day later. She just needs the medication. She will be fine." Mom smiled sadly.
"Yes, everything will be fine." I nodded.
I was shocked and sad hearing that. I loved her so much though we used to engage in a lot of arguments every day. That was fun, actually.
"Natalia, why are you wearing a scarf?" Mom suddenly asked.
"It's nothing, mom. I'm just having a throat ache," I uttered awkwardly.
"I'm taking Ellerie with me after dinner. You have to stay home alone, honey." I looked at mom in horror.
He was coming to get me tonight and now mom was telling me this! There was no way that I was staying here alone!
"Alone? Why? Dad isn't coming tonight?"
"No. He's stuck with some important work so he has to stay there tonight."
"Can I come with you? I mean, I want to see granny."
"Sorry, honey. I'll take you tomorrow evening," Mom smiled.
"Okay, but can I stay at Marjan's house tonight?"
"Of course. You can."
After dinner, mom dropped me at Marjan's house and went to the hospital along with Ellerie. I messaged Reema to come to Marjan's place in the evening, so she was also there.
• • •
"What?!!" Marjan and Reema shouted.
"Yeah, look at my neck." I pushed the scarf aside and showed them the mark.
"OH MY GOD! I can't believe any of this sh*t!" Reema put her hands on her forehead.
I told everything to my friends. I can't hide this from them. I needed help but I couldn't tell my parents about it. If they found out we went to a club and that was the main cause of this awful mess, then it would be another mess.
"He was in my bedroom that night. It wasn't a dream!" I cried out.
"What the actual freak! He's been stalking you! He even broke into your room!" Reema gasped.
"Natalia, don't cry. We'll find a way." Marjan hugged me.
"How? I have only two hours. Then he'll come and take me away." I cried hard thinking about that sh*t.
"It's not that easy. Who the hell does he think of himself? Let's go to Uncle Jacob," Reema uttered.
"NO! He warned me! He'll sl*t my every family member's throat one by one in front of me and Ell will be the first one," I sniffed.
"I think I got a way," Reema, and I quickly turned to Marjan.
"Which way? Don't ask me to go to the police station." I shook my head.
"Fardinn." Marjan muttered.
"What? How can he help us?" Reema frowned.
"I don't need his help," I scoffed.
"God, girls, we can't sit here like this. I've heard he has many criminal friends. As Talia said, I think those people are also criminals. So only Fardinn can help us in this situation," Marjan muttered and shook her head.
"Yes, you have a logic. But I don't think he'll help us." I wiped my tears.
"But we can try at least." Marjan looked at us, hopefully.
"Okay" I huffed.
I grabbed my phone and dialled Fardinn's number. After a few seconds of ringing, he received the call.
"Natalia?"
"Hey, Fardinn." I sniffed.
"Are you okay? You suddenly called me after a long time?"
"Can you meet me at Marjan's place?"
"Is everything alright? Okay, I'm coming in a few minutes."
"Okay."
With that I cut the call and looked at my friends. They were also so sad and terrified. I hugged them tightly as they hugged me back.
Ten minutes later, Fardinn's car seemed to stop in front of Marjan's house. He got out of the car and entered the house. Luckily, Marjan's parents were at work. Otherwise, they would want to know what was happening.
"Were you crying, Natalia?" Fardinn looked at me with concern and asked.
"She's having a big problem. We need your help," Reema muttered.
